Are Fred and McTominay really match fit enough for this game? Can understand Ole wanting to go with tried and tested, but i feel one of them (Scott) could have dropped out for Donny who had a full pre-season.

Tbf, this is a team picked entirely from last season's players. If we were able to use a 4-3-3 with them then we could have done it at any time.

The idea was that was that our new signings would let us switch. They can't do that when they've barely arrived though.

Donny didn't. He was returning from a groin injury that made him miss the euros. Played a half against Everton and a few minutes in the game prior.

They will have been playing XI v XI games behind closed doors. McFred will have proved their fitness on the training pitch.

Honestly the more I think about the McFred pairing for this game, the more I feel like I'm in the wrong about my initial reaction. They were good last season and Leeds are too quick for Matić. I am taking my words back :lol:
