I thought so too. I think we'll be fine today though.I don't mind Fred and McT as a pair but I hope we improve upon atleast one in the coming weeks.No one should be surprised by that 11. Ole sticks to what he knows. Let's just hope his subs are a bit more efficient this season.
Donny is not getting a shout again this season I think Lingard will play more than him.

He'd actually just gone shopping for a new one but got caught up in the whole thing.Martial needs to be sold, just don’t trust him.
Pogbas best position is on that left side however if he is to play there then we must start a Sancho or Rashford (up top) as he lacks the incisiveness.
Fred and Mctominay may not be the silkiest however I love their energy and I’d be fine them starting most games. I trust them.

To be fair I don't think he will be in every game. Frankly I wouldn't want him playing anywhere else against Leeds, he'd be too vulnerable to pressing.

Probably because DVB comes nowhere close Mctominay when it comes to breaking down play, staying close to opposition players who like to run, is more like to match work rate of Leeds players and is better at protecting the centre backs? Not saying that Mctominay is best at what he does but is certainly better than VDB in that role. This fixture and the fact that it is an opening day fixture suits Mctominay better than it suits VDB playing in midfield. We will get other games to do this experiment of starting VDB in midfield and see how it works out.
Why would he? He's still got the same midfielders as last season.
Donny has also bulked up and played well in the double pivot in preseason.
