    Scott and Fred have not really played in months, I think Donnynis slightly ahead in fitness.

    Can't use that as an excuse if he is opting to not buy a DM which would actually get the best out of all our Midfielders since they are all number 8s bar Matic

    Ole is sooo conservative. I picked a team that he would safely go with, not one I would have liked to have seen personally.
     
    Not at all surprised we're starting with McFred. They were our first choice midfield last season, after all.

    It's definitely a problem for us if they continue to be our first choice midfield throughout this season though.
     
    Thought Matic and Martial would start, definitely fitness related for Martial but James and McTominay were great last time vs Leeds so not the worst anyway. Hope we hammer them.
     
    Is Lingard recovering from covid? Surprised he didn’t make bench if not.
     
    Wouldn't be confident with Phillips in midfield, never mind without. Reckon you're gonna do us over. Again.

    James crushed it vs Leeds last year. Why do some have such a problem with him? He's also young, and more importantly right now, fit. Offers a lot of pace and directness when we have Pogba on the other wing.

    I don't understand how it as anything to do with him being afraid, no manager would throw a kid into a game that is intensely important to fans to open the season.
     
    Not that I ever do lineup predictions but my god that lineup prediction was easy. So predictable.

    You play your best players in their best positions. John McGinn is Scotland’s best centre mid. McTominay shouldn’t be starting for a team hoping to mount a title challenge.

    Thought Martial would be starting this, seemed to be gaining his fitness. Reckon we will need him and Sancho today, that attack doesn't look too great to me, but lets see how it goes, all about fitness today.
     
    A bit disappointed Donny doesn’t start. I’ve told my friends this season will be a great breakthrough for him and I don’t like to embarrass myself.

    Players like Donny should hand in a transfer request.
