Our off the ball movement is shite and that's on the coach. There's no patterns being created from players making themselves available for pass and go's - just really basic fricking stuff. Then you got a coward like Lukaku who literally does nothing, and hides away not creating angles to receive the ball.

    It's just embarassing.

Hopefully a big second half, crowd get up and they start creaking but really it's not acceptable to start games like this as Manchester United. We go after teams, not act like some scared dog.

He really is so technically inept. I have said this before but how can a supposedly world class manager with a team of scouts not see this when he was at Everton. It's not something that can be learnt either so we are stuck with him for the foreseeable future or have to take a big loss on him.
Baffles me to this day. Terrible transfer.

I don't understand our team selection. For example they have Ronaldo and Dybala with Cancelo and Cuadrado both capable of bombarding the flanks. How do we counter to that? We play a failed winger on the right + we partner Smalling with Mr 'at least one mistake per game' Lindelof. Not only that, Juventus utilize an extremely tough and hardworking midfield. Matuidi, Pjanic and Betancur will fight for every ball. What do we do? We play Matic and Pogba in a 2 men midfield + Mata behind Lukaku. Matic and Lukaku are static + Pogba and Mata are hardly the most hardworking players around. We're basically asking Juventus to hammer us.

    Jose Mourinho.

Sorry, that's the best I've got.

Mobility in the middle so evident.
Not gonna see the best of Pogba until he has legs around him.
Matic is a real problem for this Utd side.

So, apparently 4-4-2 died years ago. It was plastered all over this forum. You can't play 4-4-2 anymore, its dead.

Well 4-4-2 is currently dominating us away from home
We are so shite that any formation in the world would work against us.

As opposed to playing who else and what formation?

As we've constantly been asking - what do we do in training?

I'd even fancy myself vs our slow as feck midfield. No pressure AT ALL.

This has to be the easiest "big game" Juventus will have in this tournament.

    Outdated, slow, shit football.

When we showed an oz of attacking football from Martial and Rashford, Juventus sat back and played the counter.

I would rather us take risks and go for a goal instead of sit back and let them run the show at our stadium.

    Where is the fight?

That's all they need to do. Rashford and Martial are more likely to give it to a Juve player than a teammate, so you're better of putting them under a slight amount of pressure than really chasing the ball.

Rio and Scholes saying basically what we're all saying on here. They look so deflated.

What one defender can do for defence. Juve's defence was in the mess last year. With Bonucci is different song. Top class defender.

No United player has made more than 1 tackle. 5 players have made exactly 1 tackle - Smalling, Pogba, Matic, Rashford and Martial. No United player has made a single interception or more...

All we've really done is clear the ball when Juventus finally make a final pass. 4 Clearances from Young and 2 from Smalling

How are they able to constantly push their fullbacks forward and seemingly leave no space at the back whereas when we do it we are wide open!?

I’d take Mata off at half time, bring on Fred and let Pogba push on more. Still, we’ll need a miracle to get anything out of this - Juve look class.

Because we rarely press, and when we defend we defend narrow with tugged in full backs, their ball circulation gives them ample time to push up, we just don't play cohesively to do that.

So easy to predict this crap, same bullshit movie on a loop, then again got told that i dont understand loyalty or something like that. Well its doing wonders for us.

Don't get why everyone is slating Lukaku. You know he isn't at his best 30m from goal. Get him in the box, give him some service and he'll score goals. He does it every game for Belgium.

Because(and it feels like saying it for the billionth time) being a top line forward is about more than just scoring goals.

Please read what I said before replying to me.

Yes, another shot at Jose. Allegri is a great manager with a better, more talented team in Juve. That's okay to admit. Does Jose and the squad need to be more consistent as a squad, yes, obviously. But similar to Chelsea first half, they have to be more composed with the ball and be quicker in their decisions, even if it's the simple pass.

Jose and players have continued to stress this and to pile it on solely on Jose is daft.

He gets coached for Belgium and knows whats coming which makes it easier for him to actually get in the right positions. Frankly, I feel for the guy, he gets no service.

The guy is a coward and a forward, he is hiding behind players and not moving, unforgivable. I wanted him and stand well and truly corrected.

I wouldn’t mind if he looked interested but he strolls towards a defender with the ball. I couldn’t tell you the last time I saw him win a header. Honestly if we want to play that way stick Fellaini in Mata’s position and allow him to win the header and start attacks. It’s so obvious I can’t believe a ‘world class’ manager can’t see these things.

Just no cohesion. Crap positioning again and no poor tactics. Pogba and Lukaku need to come off.

    Rio Ferdinand

"Get up against this aging back four"

    Cancelo- 24
    Sandro- 27
    Bonucci-31

    Come off it Rio

The thing is Mourinho isn't understanding that just throwing 4 attacking players there in Mata, Rash, Martial and Lukaku doesn't make us an attacking team.

We need to be training attacking moves, I never see players running without the ball. For example Rashford just sits 2-3 metres off Young and keeps waiting him to pass the ball and try to take on any player. That's never gonna work.

The same for Martial. He gets the ball and none moves at all near him. It's easy to get the ball from him then when he easily gets overcrowded and other players are just standing there and not moving at all.

Watching the replay of the Ronaldo free-kick, the three players that are in the wall on the original shot - Lukaku, Matic and Pogba, are still in a wall when the second shot takes place. LOL nice reaction speed. Two blobs and a guy that cannot be arsed to defend.

I don't know how some fans can sing "Jose's got us playing the way we should"
