Their midfielders have legs and Jose doesn't play the ones who can run for us. He's clueless for real

Yeah he needs to bring on both Herrera and Fred for Mata and Matic . This will free up Pogba a little while Herrera can help out the full backs who are being dominated .

If you live in Manchester City centre you would understand. That whole area near old Trafford is an absolute joke and the council really needs to do something about it.

I work around 900m from old Trafford and what used to take me 10 minutes to drive is now taking me a good hour+ to get to work and my work is before the traffic even starts to get at its worst.

I agree that whoever is logistically responsible for getting us to the ground is not doing a great job of late however

    Thanks for the info

My stream has Steve fecking Nash doing punditry on the United game.

Was in absolute shock but apparently he played growing up and has a couple of ventures in football? Guess that qualifies him.

I feel embarrassed at a performance like that on the highest stage. I have no idea what Mourinho was trying to do there, but the players started like they were just clinging on and hoping for a lucky break like some lower league side in the fa cup. Best we can hope for is Juve to get complacent tbh.

To be fair, Juve are just a far superior side. The gulf in class between the two teams is massive and expecting us to outplay them is like expecting Burnley to outplay City.

Most sensible people predicted back-to-back defeats vs Juve. Valencia's result away at Young Boys has helped us and ensures it won't be a terrible night for us, even with an expected loss here.

What does Matic really offer that Perreira or even Herrera doesn't

Tactical awareness. I'm a huge fan of Pereira and he's a more gifted footballer no doubt, but experience counts a lot.

I'd like to see Pereira or Fred come on for Mata. Rashford has been anonymous mostly, but his pace is more dangerous to Juve than Mata's skill set.

No United player has made more than 1 tackle. 5 players have made exactly 1 tackle - Smalling, Pogba, Matic, Rashford and Martial. No United player has made a single interception or more...

All we've really done is clear the ball when Juventus finally make a final pass. 4 Clearances from Young and 2 from Smalling

Well, pogba is bad at controlling and interception, while matic is immobile and lethargic and never presses due to clear instructions from the manager. All we do is concede space and drop back and let them dominate

Happens every fecking game. So it's obviously a tactic we're employing. Frustrating as feck.

I really want this game to end now. I’ll take a 1-0 as I fear a second half hiding

It's as if Matic is still sat on the coach in the parking area, looking out the window and wondering why traffic has stood still for the past 45 minutes.

Watching the replay of the Ronaldo free-kick, the three players that are in the wall on the original shot - Lukaku, Matic and Pogba, are still in a wall when the second shot takes place. LOL nice reaction speed. Two blobs and a guy that cannot be arsed to defend.

That's happened so often over the last few years.

Dave will make a save and then he'll have to make another save off the rebound because our defenders are just fecking stood there watching.

That was zombielike. How have professional footballers who want to be the best in the world happy with jogging around, passing back safely while we're losing at home? How are we okay with not taking any risks, not showing any desire to go score.

I don't care what the final score is. I don't care if we make a comeback and score 5. That first half is sackable for MOu just based on the mentality we're displaying. We are the richest football club in the world. We have spent more than 700m in the last decade. How the feck are you so shit at football?

I fail to see the point of Matic. These days an atrocious footballer who does absolutely nothing.

He gets coached for Belgium and knows whats coming which makes it easier for him to actually get in the right positions. Frankly, I feel for the guy, he gets no service.
There are 3 issues with him
    1) Chances not created because we don't have the same creative players in Belgium
    2) Chances not created because he is always offside
    3) Chances to build up passing moves fecked up by his horrible skill on the ball

I can understand 1) but 2) and 3) are unnacceptable

Funny thing is Spurs were camped in the Juve half all game over in Turin last season.

I watched a rare attack from us where Pogba, young, mata and Rashford were around. A number of runs were cut off, damn, time for plan B...

...oh, there’s no plan B, everyone else was strolling around offering no outlet to try again. Our attacks just get snuffed out because of this, pathetic movement tbh. Very frustrating to watch

    We're playing with 9 men.

    Matic and Lukaku offer nothing.

Drop them and I'm hopeful we'd look much better.

Yes, another shot at Jose. Allegri is a great manager with a better, more talented team in Juve. That's okay to admit. Does Jose and the squad need to be more consistent as a squad, yes, obviously. But similar to Chelsea first half, they have to be more composed with the ball and be quicker in their decisions, even if it's the simple pass.

Jose and players have continued to stress this and to pile it on solely on Jose is daft.
I agree that they have better players, but I can also see that Cuadrado, Cancelo, Bentacour or Matuidi who are not brilliant players are doing a great work. I think the team is bad in overall, and with the players we have we can absolutely do better. We are a static team with zero zero movement, and that is coach's fault. You can see sometimes Cuadrado going at CF and Ronaldo going at CM, while at our team Mata and Lukaku are never even moving from SS and CF positions. That's very very painful to watch.

Because(and it feels like saying it for the billionth time) being a top line forward is about more than just scoring goals.

It's not even that he doesn't contribute much when he isn't scoring, it's that he is an actual hindrance most of the time.

Thats why Jose spent 400m on 10 players

    Gotcha

Whoever they are they’re absolutely bang on with their comments.

Its not just CMs that intercept though. Smalling had a high amount for a CB last season. Young averages 2.2 per game this season. Granted we do average less interceptions than last season in general I believe. But I think its more about Juventus just quickly cutting right through us and none of our players reading the game quickly enough to step in and stall the move.

They might be better but we're making them look like prime Barcelona when they're not. City and Liverpool would go for it and cause problems. Spurs had a good go last season and were unlucky. We're more than capable of making a contest out of it.

It hurts to watch us play this way, it hurts even more that this is happening at the same time City is playing their best football of their history.

Seriously just sack Mourinho and let Carrick finish the season. We can´t do worse than this, the premier is lost, the UCL will be lost soon, what´s the point of keeping Mourinho? at least Carrick will gain some experience and we may be able to enjoy watching the team again.
