    We lifted our game in the 2nd but it wasn't enough. There's a pretty solid gulf between 2 teams.
     
    8 games without a goal now for Rom I think ? On a positive note Lindelof was outstanding.

    Hardly the only difference. They were just better than us everywhere.

    Victor Lindelöf was excellent tonight and it was easily his best game for us. Looked confident and strong and won the most against Ronaldo and co. Hope he keeps on improving!
     
    The team played well in the second half and we hit the post.
    Juve were not so confident.

    We also forget that our owners didn't buy the defenders that Jose wanted.
     
    The final score was close, the gulf in class between the two sides was wide. We'll see this squad improve enough to nibble around the edges of the top four in the league but are nowhere near where should be by now, in the 5th or 6th season after Ferguson retired.

    Pretty much exactly what happened.

    Juventus rarely trash teams, they usually just bore them to death.

    1-0 down and sat back let Juventus have the ball in our own fecking half and we didn't press them.

    I was expecting something else after the way we played 2nd half against Chelsea and Newcastle, but back to same old malaise. I think along with the manager going most of the players need to as well. God knows what the score will be over there. Only saving grace is Valencia drawing, but we probably wont get past last 16 even if we finish 2nd in the group.
