    ---------------DDG
    Valencia--Smalling--Rojo--Shaw
    -------Matic--McTominay
    ---Mata---Lingard--Sanchez
    -----------Lukaku

Not a bad team. Mata should be playing with Sanchez imo as he has the most intelligence in forward areas. Can hold the ball up and do the play-making job as good as anyone else in the squad. Pacey backline and functional midfield. Seems good to me.

Any problems, Martial, Pogba, Rashford from the bench.

The Spurs result was his fault yet as usual Jose accepts no blame and takes it out on everyone else.

It's Sanchez who actually can't get a break here in the three games he's played so far. He played with a weakened in his first match, then a tough away game, then a weakened team again. Applies also to the supporters who have seen their club sign a great player only to not see him perform in the best XI possible. This was a good chance to get a rhythm going.

We're still probably going to win this I assume.

Not liking much about that team. It's very workmanlike.

One centre back who often looks like a rabbit in the headlights and another who looks the bloke driving.

What is this myth that Pogba had "only one bad game"? He had much more bad games than one, he needs kick up the arse, I like the line up.

The Pogba who plays in the rightcenter of a midfield two deserves to be dropped. But the one who plays on the leftcenter of a midfield three is by far our best player.
What about Pogba #3, who plays where he likes, is out on the wing one moment, in the middle the next, miles from the people he is meant to be close to? He still will play decent, even brilliantly, by times. Also: having three Pogbas means we only played £33.33333(etc) million for one of them.

Think that's my favourite Caf analogy this season.

Tominay is a way more dynamic player than Herrera at the moment who's lack of passing quality isn't ideal for Huddersfield at home.
He played swell in our best match in a while, Everton away, and the short slick passing all went through the Spaniard.

All will be forgiven/forgotten when we smash these feckers 4-0. Don't have a problem dropping players, whoever they are! So long as Lukaku gets his turn. Expecting him to get at least a brace today!

How many times is the camera going to show Pogba on the bench looking disgruntled today? Body Language analysts are going to be queuing up to say their piece.

Jamie Redknapp is already punching in his first draft of "Pogba Needs to GET OUT or his international career is DOOMED FOREVER!"

We'll twat this lot and that annoying little Kloppelganger.

Who really cares what anyone says, or how many times the camera looks or pans to Pogba??

Hardly a big deal is it??

    Absolutely brilliant.

I think the teams a nice rotation, it may seem workman, but thats probably a good thing vs a side like huddersfield. Not to mention two of our three most creative players are playing (Sanchez and Mata, the third being Pogba), so it is balanced out.

Here's an extract from the Sky analysis of the Stoke game, 3 games back, he has been in good form.

Man of the match: Paul Pogba
Pogba bossed this game, grabbing two assists which maintained his high level of form since returning from suspension.

No player in the league has made as many assists (9) as the explosive midfielder.

The Frenchman is also now unbeaten in his last 35 Premier League appearances (W21 D13) since losing 4-0 to Chelsea back in 2016.

I hope for Mourinho's sake we win today or he's going to get a lot of abuse.

If this is how Jose is dealing with Pogba not being a MC for a midfield 2 then it's a bit daft. Also not delighted to see Martial's position on the left sacrificed to accommodate Sanchez there.

Anyway, not like they've been fully dropped. They can always come on if things are going pear shaped! Hopefully it sends out a message to ALL the team.

    Come on United!

Stick Pogba in for Mata to make a midfield three and i’d be happy with that.

You don’t spend £90 million on a midfielder and shackle him in a two man midfield.

Give him and Sanchez the freedom to get forward and make things happen.

I’m sick to fecking death of Mourinho’s insistence on this 4231 shite.

You just know that will happen too.

Lineup looks like it's out to punish everyone that didn't fill their kilometres run quota on Wednesday

But seriously a message had to be sent. On the other hand we need to start fielding the 11 that will play against Sevilla to let them pick up some chemistry.

Pogba dropped? He has been bad recently, but not sure we should play Mctominay over him. Martial has been good recently so not sure about dropping him either. Hope we step up today and get the win.

I really do not get the overreaction by people here, it is a team put out that should be too good for Huddersfield, so why the moaning for moaning sake?

Just back the team that is put out there, it really isn't that hard to do, or too much to ask is it?!!

The Spurs result was his fault yet as usual Jose accepts no blame and takes it out on everyone else.

I don't think you can pin all the blame on Mourinho. The defense shit their pants in the first 10 seconds and the ball ricocheted off Smallings shin and heel to fall perfectly in place for Erikson to slot it home and Jones somehow managed to put the ball in the back of the net from a routine cross clearance. What exactly was Mourinho to do about those goals? That's entirely down to individual player errors.

Pogba's performance drew criticism from everyone on here and yet Mourinho dropping him to give him a bit of a wake up call is shifting the blame?
