Lindelof looked decent for the first time against Juve, what odds on him being dropped for this one

Oh man, I was in Oktoberfest when that goal flew it - take me back to that simpler time...

Everton will fly out of the blocks as most teams do at OT knowing we will still be on the coach from the hotel. They may even get a sneaky goal but I think Lukaku will awake from his slumber, put his boots on the correct feet for a change and win the game for us. A loss and we are stuffed for the season.

When Valencia play football and Lukaku care enough to put effort into it.

Man when I remember the amount of positivity and excitement we had at this time and then how it turned to the fecked up state we're in now. :(

There you go. Spoken like a true Manchester United supporter.

    Well done....
If Woodward publicly stated that Jose would be sacked if we lost the next two matches I bet you 99% of supporters would want us to lose, even though a lot of them wouldn't have the balls to admit it on here. Looking beyond the next match and doing what's best for us in the long term is the sign of a real supporter who cares about the club.

Sorry but no true Manchester United supporter would ever want their team to loose, for whatever reason.

Short term loss, long term gain. In hindsight it was better for us to never comeback against Newcastle because it saved the managers job when he didn't deserve it.

    2-1 Man. United.

Followed by three away defeats and Mourinho sacked.

If the sum of results aren't good end of season he'll lose his job anyways. winning or losing this game won't change that. As tired as I am of Mourinho I can honestly say I still don't want us to lose.

That’s total bullshit. You can’t possibly think that Manchester United would hinge Jose’s job on one game. It was the same with LVG. All this talk that if they don’t win the next game they’ll be sacked is just clickbait the papers come up with because fans eat it up.

Seriously though. If his job hinged on that New Castle game, it was just New Castle and he would have been sacked anyway if the rumors were true. Coming from 2-0 down against a team that’s already relegated is NOT anything to be proud of. It’s fecking embarrassing.

We won't win tomorrow.1-1 draw at best. The Brazilian bloke for them will play well and Mourinho will praise Everton for putting their hand in their pockets to get to our level, blah blah blah.

Christ I don't look forward to match day anymore.

    It didn't save anything.
Moiyes was sacked when it was mathematically impossible to get CL for the next season.
LVG was sacked when it was mathematically impossible to get CL for the next season.

Given the above, what makes you think that a top class manager like Jose, who has the reputation of winning trophies, is going to be sacked before it is mathematically impossible to get CL football?

Not when he has us in the bottom half with over than half a season gone.

Win, lose or draw, it doesn't make any difference, as it will be the same tumescent display.

In MMA, if a fighter has lost a couple in a row and gets given a do-or-die fight (as in, lose this one and we're releasing you from your contract) that they win...….that usually gives them some rope and they need to lose another few consecutively to be released.

This is going to be Jose's loser-goes-home fight. If he wins, it basically will give him leeway to lose embarrassingly another 2-3 times in a row before someone pulls the trigger. Sadly, this is how I see the rest of our season going, right up until May.

Last ditch haymaker saving his skin for another few games, rinse and repeat.

    Absolute bollo*cks

Ugh, what difference does a win even make considering the other rival fixtures.

    So grim.

Everton to dominate possession, create more chances, united stumble to a dull 2-1.

Says the man who is in love with Mourinho. You're so biased you're not worth listening to.

Not biased at all, merely offering a counter to the ridiculously excessive Mourinho hate, fuelled by delusion, fantasy and more often than not, misunderstanding.

Nor do I see any benefit to sacking a manager this early into a season without any notion of a credible plan.

I would also much rather United turned it around under Mourinho, because that benefobe United. Losing 2 or 3 games in a row doesn't benefit United at all, not now, not in the future.

Hopefully this continues on Sunday against Everton.

With the way the fixtures play out over the next month, we've got a great chance to make up some ground and get right back in the mix.

We might as well just ask the FA to give them a 1-0 headstart, since we don't bother trying until that scoreline anyway. Just save everybody the time like.

Do we have to go a goal or 2 behind to start playing or will we score first and drop deeper and deeper till we concede an equalizer. We have played about 45 minutes of good football this season so everything points to another troubled afternoon.

We have a good chance of a win here. Richarlison should be able to cause havoc with your defence and our front 4 including him are playing very lovely stuff at the minute which your back-line has struggled with. Gomes looks like a really nice player too that plays on the front foot and was a nice addition/improvement against Palace. Mina is available but i doubt he will as Zouma and Keane have formed a decent pair. I like the way the squad is going at the moment and the cohesion/spirit within the team currently is excellent.

It's nothing but positivity going into this game which usually as an Everton fan means a loss.

Creating a TLDR addendum for you :):
We've (Everton) got a decent chance of winning this because this United team is garbage, mentally, physically and footballistically.
