Just going to go with the same team from Chelsea and Juve. Needs a bit of refreshing in my opinion but not sure he’ll change it. Personally I would put Fred or Herrera in. Is Sanchez fit again?

Result: who knows could go either way, comfortable 3-0 win or 2-1 them.

    Joint United/Everton

    De Gea
    Coleman Smalling Zouma Digne
    Gueye Pogba
    Richarlison Mata Bernard
    Lukaku

    6-5 to Everton.

Frightening. Well done to our wonderful owners.

Really struggling to care about this. Season is over already, if we win it just buys Jose more time. If we lose, we lose.

Expecting another park the bus performance with a stronger second half as per.

Sigurdsson for Mata everyday of the week.

Haha. Not even close .. Richarlason and Coleman at best.
Bailly/Zouma, Shaw/Digne is close to be fair but both have more experience at the top level. Zouma won a league with Chelsea and Digne has won several leagues and I think a CL at Barcelona. That swung it.

Sigurdsson for Mata everyday of the week.
    You're actually right.

And people will expect Mourinho to give these a hiding.

We haven't got the players. Everton have invested well.

    You must be joking?

    What would yours be?

A lot of the positions are very close.

I know some on here would probably have Martial/Rashford ahead of say Bernard but you look at them, what they've achieved etc and there's not that much in it.

    As I say I genuinley don't see that much difference between Zouma/Bailly, Digne/Shaw, Sigurdsson/Mata, Gueye/Matic etc.

There's just not much in it. Our players are closer to Everton's level than City's or Liverpool's for example.

I think Coleman at his best is the only certainty from Everton’s side. We also finished ahead of Liverpool in the most recent season

Put this way, you’re saying the following players would not start at Everton, keeping in mind they were said to be after rojo.

Valencia, rojo, lindelof, Bailly, shaw, martial, sanchez, rashford, fellaini, Herrera,Fred. And more.

Every single one would start at Everton, this is a ridiculous conversation

He won 3 times against Everton as ManUtd manager?

Edit: No we won only 2 times.

Maybe 3 trophies he won as Manutd manager. default for everyone.

I was looking to see whether we beat them 3-0 while he was manager, but we haven't. He'll find something i'm sure.

We have more depth than them but the starting 11's aren't that far apart. Those players you mention bar Sanchez wouldn't stand out for Everton and I didn't include him in this Sunday's combined 11 because he's injured. Martial and Rashford have good promise but I think Richarlison is better than both of them.

Everton aren't amazing but only De Gea and Pogba are head and shoulders above their team.

Mourinho gets some credit too. He made these players. In the negative way that is.

Sanchez wouldn't get in that fecking team. Even De gea is debatable.

Ok, agree to hugely disagree. I’m opting out of this discussion now I see somebody say de gea or Sanchez might not start for Everton.

    I’d go

    De gea

    Dalot?
    Lindelof
    Smalling
    Shaw

    Fellaini
    Pogba
    Mata

    Rashford
    Lukaku
    Martial

    Our owners pick our transfertargets?
Pretty sure the managers pick them, no?

    De Gea
    Young Smalling Lindelof Shaw
    Matic Pogba
    Rashford Mata Martial
    Lukaku
if it aint broke dont fix it, or as some of us may call it: I'm Jose Mourinho and I don't give a dam how shit some of these guys are playing.

On the bench: Fellaini, why bother with the others, they aren't coming into the game.

Matic needs to take a break from the starting 11. I would take Lukaku out as well but he's going to play because the manager doesn't trust the others as strikers. With Matic there's no excuse. There are plenty of options in midfield.

Hoping for 3 minutes stoppage time so we get to see those infamous fingers once again

Quite a few unavailable. Rojo and Jones go without saying as they are rarely out of the sick room and Dalot seems to have settled in there as well. So probably the same back four.

I'd love to see a bit of energy in midfield and Matic rested against this lot albeit Lukaku will be lumbering about ineffectualy up front.

    1-0.Maybe

We are so unpredictable at the moment its hard to see how this will go. We were 0-2 down against newcastle and I could definitely see that happening in this game as well. Win loss or draw doesn't really do that much difference, we shot ourselves in the foot with the shit start we had and I feel like our season is over either way. There is absolutely no way we will make top 4 being as inconsistent as we are.

0-0 at 87th minute. No subs used. Camera zooms into confused face of the fourth official, while Jose undresses to reveal a full kit underneath his jacket. Comes in for Rashford and a minute later he scores a header from Fellaini's cross. Celebrates infront of Stretford End holding up three fingers.

Can you imagine the post match interview.

Hoping for 3 minutes stoppage time so we get to see those infamous fingers once again

If we are going to get the 3 fingers, why not go for 3 goals scored? I think that would carry a more powerful message.

    We weren't embarrassed by Juve.
We went toe to toe with Chelsea.
We beat Newcastle in the 2nd half.

There is some optimism. Everton are not Barcelona or PSG.

    Oh yeah....

Well we made West Ham look like Barcelona or Madrid, hopefully we won't repeat the same mistake.

    So...

Our home record is dreadful. We played decent against Chelsea. We weren't humiliated against Juve? Despite being at home and producing a mind numbingly dull performance. And we beat arguably the worst team in the league at Old Trafford after falling 2-0 behind.

I struggle to see what's to be positive about because I'm fed up of seeing these false dawns one after another. Another poster will tell us we've turned a corner and then the churn out the same old shite next game. Our expectations have dropped, our standards have dropped. Fans have had enough. It's the same shit over and over.

Would love to see a Pogba / Fred / Herrera midfield for this game.

Keep the energy and tempo high.

    Martial > Bernard
    Shaw > Digne
    Sanchez > Richarlison

De Gea; Coleman, Smalling, Zouma, Shaw; Pogba, Gueye; Sanchez, Sigurdsson, Martial; Lukaku

Lukaku won’t be droppped for this one against his former club but expects plenty of laughter from the Everton supporters as he continually misjudges headers in the air , when the ball is played to him it hits off him and he will miss a one v one .

    We weren't embarrassed by Juve.
We were. Not in terms of result itself but rather we were schooled like some teenagers and first half was probably the biggest act of cowardliness on a worldwide stage from anyone.

In our last 2 matches we got 4 points (should've been 6). Before that, our form was dreadful, I admit.
So, in the league at least, I can see us climbing.
With this in mind, I do expect 3 points from this game.

With a Martial Sanchez Rashford three. Lukaku needs dropping for now.
Yeah... i'm a fan of Lukaku but he's not doing the business right now. Maybe if he's dropped he will fix it up.

Sanchez always played his best as a 9 so let's see how that works. Can't be any worse right now :annoyed:

I'd like Fella to hold the ball and bring Sanchez and Martial into Play. Fella could also be a threat on the box for Headers.
