    Fred
    Andreas Pogba Mata Martial

    I'd go with

    DDG
    Dalot Bailly Smalling Shaw
    Herrera
    Fred Andreas
    Pogba
    Sanchez Martial

Just trying to think how he could hold up the patented three finger salute to the Everton fans when/if we lose that would make sense, but can't think of one...

    This would be refreshing
Anything to get Matic and Lukaku out of the team is welcome. Sick of those two walking into the team with no challenge. They have to know that there's competition for places. Lukaku needs some time out completely.

Good team but I've got Mata instead of Herrera and I'd keep Lindelof because we need a stable CB partnership. No need to change after a good game especially.
It doesn't matter really as long as Matic and Lukaku are not there.

Personally I think the team needs Herrera at CDM to give the team mobility in front of the defence and improve our ball playing from the back. We can press higher up the pitch with Herrera there too.

Don’t mind Lindelof staying in there tbh just think a motivated Bailly is one of our best defenders.

This is Sunday evening 9.30 PM for me, right before work on Monday. Our football doesn't exactly inspire me to think it will put me in a good mood for Monday.

Home game, we have won 1 so far in the season. Everton are definitely not a gimme.

I really hope Everton score in the first 10 minutes so we can actually see a United performance for a majority of the game

I'm hoping that Everton win the 1st half and we batter them in the 2nd half and take the 3 points.
Only when we are behind do we attack hard. If we are 0-0 at half time, I can see us plodding along for another 45 minutes, finishing the match 0-0.

No games for us are these days. If Everton were playing Arsenal away you'd say an easy 3 points for Arsenal

Sad indictment of where we are at the moment

    Yep. It sucks.
Would a new manager fix this situation, though?
Or does the issue also lie with the players and senior people at the club?

My take on it is that if a new manager came in, it would be more of the same and he too, would be fired for poor results in 2 years.

    DDG

    Dalot Bailly Lindelof Shaw

    Fred Periera Pogba

    Sanchez Rashford Martial

3 years of the same shit and I'm tired. This team might not win, but at least try something different than sitting deep with a back 6 and hoofing to Lukaku

The funny thing is that Lukaku is next to useless at receiving long balls. If long ball is the plan, it would be far better to play Fellaini. He can bring the ball down in advanced areas and pass it straight to another attacker, who can do some major damage. Lukaku is next to useless when using our current tactics.

0-0 at 87th minute. No subs used. Camera zooms into confused face of the fourth official, while Jose undresses to reveal a full kit underneath his jacket. Comes in for Rashford and a minute later he scores a header from Fellaini's cross. Celebrates infront of Stretford End holding up three fingers.

Haven't seen much of Everton but against Leicester their forward play was threatening enough to be a concern. We'll score but so will they.

    MY FIRST MATCH AT OT!!!!

Flying in from NYC for my 28th birthday, so excited.

    5-0

    Lukaku x3
    Rashford
    DDG (penalty)
Have a great time. The first visit is always special. Hopefully you get to see a win.

Think it will be 2-2. Mourinho needs a win here or against Bournemouth otherwise we will be going into the derby in bottom half of the table.

I have no idea what kind of crap he will come out with to justify that and I think a loss to City and being in bottom half of table after 12 games is getting to point where Woodward May be forced to act.

    I'd like to see 4231

    ................DDG
    Dalot Bailly Lindelof Shaw
    ......... .Fred Pogba
    ....Periera Mata Rashford
    ..............Martial

It's a young team, it's all signings we'd like to see work, give it a shot for a few matches, see what happens.

    The other way round.

In terms of confidence and such bullshit, it's probably a bad idea to bench Lukaku against his old club. I don't care about his feelings of course, he's paid to deal with that kind of thing. I expect them to score, we have kept one clean sheet in 9 games - which must be some kind of new record.

Is Dalot fit? Would definitely give him a game if so.

I've no idea, but i am so up for just experimenting for the rest of the season. It's depressing really, because we're not too far off the top 4, still could win a cup and we're in Europe, but the idea of us winning silverware this season is so remote, i'd rather he uses it to bed in a young football playing team - rather than our current hoofball merchants.

    Must win game.
Win this, spurs beat city and we’re 6 behind them.

Dalot is injured - he's out for 2 weeks apparently x

    Young--------Smalling-----Lindelöf---------------Shaw
    ----------------Matic--------Pogba---------------------
    Rashford------------Mata------------------------Martial
    ---------------------Lukaku------------------------------

    (Same as midweek)

SUBS - Herrera (Mata), Bailly (Young), Sanchez (Martial)

We'll scrape an ugly win and save his skin again.

    Man United 2 - 1 Everton
    Mata, own goal.

Time for a win at Old Trafford surely? Lukaku to score and end his drought. Everton are a similar level to Watford so will be tough be we should have enough.

Not confident about this game at all.

Doubt Lukaku will be bench for this.
We have a (-2) GD at home in all comps. Lukaku has not scored since Sept 11th against Watford and he has yet to score at home. HE NEEDS TO BE DROPPED!

I hope we line up like this.
    DDG
    Young Smalling Lindelof Shaw
    Fred Pogba
    Mata
    Rashford Martial Sanchez

But more than likely it will be the same team as the last two matches.

Where's this weird optimism coming from that people are expecting us to perform well? We're fecking shite.

Don’t understand how any utd supporter can hope we lose regardless of goings on in the club.

Well, it's not like I genuinely want us to lose and will be supporting Everton. It's just the despair and hopelessness of seeing us play dinosaur football week after week for the last 6 seasons. Every match you start with optimism that "maybe today things will be different", and it never fecking is. So when I say I hope we lose, it's more in jest and a reflection of not wanting the club to get left behind while City, Chelsea, Liverpool and even fecking Arsenal are doing so much better than us.

FFS we could be in the bottom half of the table this weekend after almost 1/4 of the season gone.

Everton have actually shown a good deal of ambition in the market the last 2 summers, certainly more than us.

If you look at the teams:
    DDG
    Young Smalling Lindelof Shaw
    Matic Pogba
    Rashford Mata Martial
    Lukaku

    Pickford
    Coleman Keane Zouma Digne
    Gueye Andre Gomes
    Walcott Sigurdsson Bernard
    Richarlison

There's not that much in that and the gap between the two squads is getting smaller and smaller all the time. Moshiri showing great ambition, they've got as many if not more CL calibre in there as us.

I think they'll get something on Sunday but we'll finish ahead of them for this season. Next few seasons though I can see Everton bypassing us though, especially if the next manager doesn't hit the ground running.

Just trying to think how he could hold up the patented three finger salute to the Everton fans when/if we lose that would make sense, but can't think of one...

He won 3 times against Everton as ManUtd manager?

Edit: No we won only 2 times.

Maybe 3 trophies he won as Manutd manager. default for everyone.
