Herrera is still in Dutch prison?
Herrera is still in Dutch prison?
Trouble is the ones he is picking will be quite happy.utterly terrible lineup and crazy that Smalling is behind Evans and Jones just because he isnt left footed. He and Rojo is obviously our best CB partnership. Deary me this lineup. Not dropping the under performing stars and pushing them all in again is comical.
He carries this on and he will lose the players, and when that happens.......its bye bye Van Gaal
And comments like this are any better than that. Thank you for your wonderful contribution.Prediction = we play awful football but win by a couple and the usual "voices of reason" then proceed to post green laughing smileys at those doubting LvG and label them some derogatory title such as cry baby's
Aye, just about the same great team that played West Ham, that went well.
It's more of the philosophy regarding left and right foot CB's.Not sure why Evans is ahead of Smalling in the pecking order.
You'd hope so … it's Burnley fecking FC not BarcelonaWe'll beat them easy.
It is the lack of games that is making things difficult. Persisting with two misfiring strikers isn't helping either. Not out of stubbornness. Just to play devils advocate, Herrera isn't going anywhere, we just bought him and he can chill on the bench for a bit. He wont drop Falcao because he's running out of games to prove his worth. He can't drop RvP because once he drops him, its more or less the end of him at United. Theres simply no playing his way back into the starting lineup at his age, especially not with Wilson waiting and eager. Plus he's the captain of the dutch national side and LvG obviously has a soft spot for him. Rooney is the most undroppable of the lot. New contract, new captain, etc. He simply has to accommodate all three in the starting lineup and unfortunately it looks like Herrera is the one to miss out. I genuinely think that's all there is to it and Herrera probably understands the situation. Unless either of the three get injured or suddenly become very shit, Herrera wont see much playing time this season.
Di Maria has been equally unimpressive to be fair.Januzaj needs to have a big game tonight, I don't think he's going to be given many more chances.
Correct.Prediction = we play awful football but win by a couple and the usual "voices of reason" then proceed to post green laughing smileys at those doubting LvG and label them some derogatory title such as cry baby's
Did you enjoy the west ham game? Its more or less the same team.Great team!
Hoping for a performance from Di Maria and a brace from Falcao.
.. wasn't that my point?
You are being a tad dramatic mate.
Hmm, maybe my memory doesn't serve me right. Oh, Jones is playing for his corners of course..Why isn't Smalling match fit? He played full game vs Cambridge and then was simply benched I thought.
You are in luck my lad.Lineup looks terrible.
McNair did well at RB vs Cambridge so he has earnt a start in that role, thats fair enough, and I guess Rojo can do a job at LB but I would rather see Blind or Young there.
Falcao and RVP both starting again, Rooney still in midfield, all our midfielders (except Blind) still on the bench.
What game are they showing on TV? I actually think I would prefer to watch the Chelsea Everton game....

I wanted Herrera in, but am amazed after all was said about the impact of Fellaini that he isn't starting. Well as the Glazers are there they can see for themselves how bad RvP and Falcao are.Lineup thoughts:
-Playing 3 at the back at home against Burnley would have been insane. Good for LVG not to do it.
-Falcao up front instead of Rooney up front and Herrera in midfield is bad.
-Januzaj instead of Herrera is an odd choice as well
-Evans' passing presumably got him the nod over Smalling, but if Barnes beats him in the air often enough we'll regret it. Still, Burnley at home.
-Can't believe I'm saying this, but if Herrera isn't going to start, isn't Fellaini in better attacking form than Falcao?
With Carrick out injured he needs someone to control the midfield.. He's the only one of that type we have.Lineup looks terrible.

No you're spot on. I think Rooney's contribution has flown slightly under the radar here. LVG is getting the flack for playing him out of position but even out of position Rooney should be contributing more than 50 misplaced switch balls. If I am totally honest, Rooney has got to start delivering. I don't care that he is in midfield, he is contributing next to sweet FA.
We need him to set an example and speed up the game, have a bloody shot on target and try and find the strikers rather than wing backs all the time.
Rant over.
