    I think Solskjaer needs to get 4 of Rashford, Martial, James, Greenwood and Mata on the pitch

    goals are hard to come by and these seem to be our only effective attackers with Pogba out.

    Think I'd play

    Need to win this home match against Brighton so much its unreal. So much that we will likely draw 0-0 according to recent years form.

    Though I'll go optimistically for a scrappy 2-1
     
    We'll probably need a penalty to win. Going for a scrappy 2-1.
     
    Wonder if Phil Jones might get a start in this one.

    Maguire and Lindelof both doubts (although CBs tend to play through pain far more as they did last week) and Rojo might be played as LB.
     
    We need to stop them from set peices, Duffy is a big threat, Maguire needs to mark him everytime

    I've given up on clean sheets. Even a game like Norwich that we completely dominated, we couldn't keep one. If we do keep a clean sheet, we won't score more than one. That's how it is with us.

    I genuinely - GENUINELY - believe that every time he gets a win, it saves his bacon for another few matches, which just pushes us further into the mire.

    We are not a great team by any stretch but I am sick of the crap excuses.

    If Chris Wilder can have Sheff U in 5th then there’s absolutely zero excuses for us not to be around that position
     
    They will for sure park a double decker bus so let's see how we will deal with it. Maybe James will be able to get a pen to lead us to win or something. Don't think they will score themselves if we lead first.

    God, I knew standards had dropped, but bragging that we are edging Wolves on GD and newly promoted Villa by two points after a quarter of the season is grim.
     
    If we do not win this game today it will be beyond a joke and I hope Ole finally gets the boot. Our points total is terrible and I can't take listening to or reading anymore excuses.

    Not sure who is fit but would go with.

    De Gea, AVB, Maguire, Rojo, Williams, Fred, McTominay, Mata, James, Martial, Rashford.

    I want to say we'll win easily cause I don't think Brighton are that good. That being said loads on here seem to think their manager is fantastic and they play great attacking football so I'll go 1-1.

    Also can we get some pro-active subs from Ole today? Rodgers changed the game for Leicester yesterday by bringing on Gray.
     
    Anything other than a win here and things are going to look pretty grim looking at the table. 2-0 is my prediction.

    A loss today would put him under enormous pressure. A win and a good display, and Pogba to return after the break will give cause for optimism. I am pretty sure that we will buy in January, Woody knows that he failed during the summer.
     
    Solskjaer makes vow to supporters
    Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has vowed to win for Manchester United’s fans when they take on Brighton on Sunday.

    United have not won a home Premier League game since September 14 when a Marcus Rashford penalty was enough to record a 1-0 victory over Leicester.

    “We need a good result, we want a good result, we are going to give everything we can to get a good result,” Solskjaer told MUTV. “Because I think the fans deserve it and we owe them that.”
     
    I wouldn’t watch it even if it was on TV. We play dreadful football and are exactly where we deserve to be in the league table.

    Not sure players are available? I think teams will wait until summer before selling or we'll have to pay more than they were worth in the summer.....

    I was just checking the thread to see if there was any injury / team news. I won’t be following the game at all, I’ll just check the score later and maybe watch the “highlights” if there are any.

    I used to go to games and watch every game on TV that was available but I can’t bring myself to do it anymore. I dislike most of our players and feel disconnected from it these days if I’m being honest.
