The difference having Martial in the middle freeing Rashford up to play wide is such an difference to our ability to break teams down, ok partizan and brighton are not the toughest opposition but it just goes to show how thin our squad is and how vulnerable to injuries, missing Martial for a couple of months may well have cost us a shot at top 4 this season, and I guarantee it will not be the last time he or Rashford is out this season.

But what fun that game was like watching UTD of old, De Gea's throw out to Rashford 3-4 passes and shot on goal, 5 seconds top front to back... was like the good old Schmeichel days

Question for a statto out there, how many shots/shots on target today, compared to teh rest of the prem season combined?

Christ how does Rashford miss that chance. A player of immense talent as he showed for the goal. MU should have won more comfortably but in the highlights I saw their was some nice attacking play. James is a fine player. Defensively work for Ole to do.

Was pleased with the last 25 minutes when we actually attacked with some threat, still have to answer the question about drawing or winning from a losing position and breaking down a packed defence though.

Pumping high balls into the box against Dunk and Duffy doesn't seem the best idea.

I expect the Albion to play possession football in their own half to try and get United chasing shadows.

It might turn into a tactical confrontation. And it might change during the game.

Not that far out. Rashford and James were both too quick. No wonder teams play deep at Old Trafford.
