So Luke Shaw is featuring tomorrow. I hope he starts, Bournemouth home is a reasonable game to perform adequately and ease your way into the starting 11 permanently. Blind can play in Russia in midweek, then.

Hope we don't have a let down from Sunday - it was quite a draining yet sensational way to win it. Perhaps why Mou was saying he hopes the fans will play an even bigger part to spur us on.

Just go for it from the start, play at pace, get the crowd into it and put the game to bed in the first half. Hate having to wake up early and be jittery the whole time through - a nice easy win will do just fine.

Pool and Arse playing plus Spurs and Everton on Sunday, so we MUST WIN THIS MATCH. Don't care how we do it, we just have to get those three points.

I'm a little anxious as we have a tendency to throw away our chances when one or more of our rivals lose points.

    Gone for this...

    De Gea
    Valencia Bailly Rojo Shaw
    Herrera Pogba
    Mata Micky Martial
    Zlatan
    ...I dunno.

That's the team I believe Mourinho will pick, but Micky is out, so it's going to be Lingard there. I would love to see Herrera-BFS-Pogba, but that's not going to happen I'm affraid, at least not initially.

I think Rooney will start this with Miki injured. I doubt Mou will start Lingard in that 10.

I think ROJONES should start as they were very good. No way Rooney starts,Mata will play. I think right now, Lingard is also ahead of rooney maybe even fellaini.

Can see Mourinho going with Jones Smalling if he is fit. With Bailly banned for Thursday i expect he'll use the same partnership in both games.

    United 4-0 Bournemouth
    Liverpool 0-0 Arsenal
    Tottenham 0-2 Everton

...would just be the perfect weekend for me. Joint fourth with the Gooners and a point above Liverpool and 4 points below City in second (assuming they beat Stoke) with Liverpool v City the game after next. Oh if not for all them fecking draws early on.

Just can't see us not being joint 4th or at least 5th at the end of the day. Don't we also have a game in hand on Liverpool ?

Would be sweet, but I'm predicting:

    United 3 - 0 Bournemouth
    Liverpool 2 - 2 Arsenal
    Spurs 3 - 1 Everton

    Away to City though...

Even more reason to win that game. Imagine taking another 3 points off City. That game could put us above them depending on their results. All ifs and buts I know but not surprising that Jose has targeted 2nd as a possibility now.

the most encouraging aspect for today is that Bournemouth don't defend. I really hope this is like LEI at OT, finish them off early and rest for Russia.

BOU hope an average-to-ok attack can win the game before the defence ships 3 goals (concede 2.85 pg). I don't see them keeping a clean sheet and our defence is good enough to keep them quite.

    We need to start well.

The win against Soton was unconvincing to say the least and we can't afford complacency. Lot of stories about B'mouth's poor defence etc and the odds are firmly in our our favour, let's not fcuk it up!

We need to win this easily and not get out of the second gear to accomplish that. Bournemouth are a shambles. Lost their last 4 games and deservedly so.

BOU haven't won since the end of Dec and are conceding 2.85 goals per game. This is the perfect game to try and win by HT and rest the main players for Russia. The last thing we need is another 90mins of 0-0 with 30 shots on goal. Which then also puts more pressure to field a really strong team for Russia.

This game could really define our season. Make it difficult with a draw/loss then the pressure mounts for Russia and Chelsea.

That would be a very good weekend, but to make it perfect...

    Sunderland 2 - 1 Man City.
    Januzaj double

I think we will score a goal before half time. Got a feeling that this will be a easy match.

I actually like Bournemouth. Good Manager. Nice positive style of play. Not too much of 'parking the bus' tactics. Unfortunately for them, we seem to perform better in matches where teams don't pack the defence.

We may face some tricky situations in defence ourselves, but overall, I feel we will win this comfortably.

What I'm worried about in our next few games is we could move up to 2nd and think we're great but then have to face 4 top 5 teams. Potentially losing more than 2. That would bring us straight back down to 6th it's that tight.

I don't think anyone is under any illusions.

It's always better to have it in our own hands. We'll know what we have to do and can set up accordingly. I've been overly critical of Jose with regards to the big games this season but I do have a feeling he knows his players better now with respect to who he can trust in those games and I'm expecting him to do a much better job in those big reverse fixtures.

Can't believe we didn't hold on against Arsenal and at Everton.

So.. You worry about us moving up the table because we potentially could move back down? Might as well finish 20th just to avoid that scenario.
