Guess Jose is trying to make up with a shakey defence by putting an extra body in there, while also potentially overcoming our issue at right wing.

Suspect it will be a line up to suck up their attack and hit them hard with pace on the break. Herrera is in midfield as a ball winner, alongside Matic to shield the defence (he is the golden goose so will always get picked).

Bit annoyed with Darmian at the back, but I assume Shaw and young is injured, while Valencia would struggle at left back, so Jose would have had no choice. Would have strongly preferred to have Pogba and one of perreira/ Fred in midfield though

It could be a 352 going on the lineup alone, although Darmian and Dalot as the wingbacks is somewhat cause for concern.

Rashford and Martial as a front 2 is exciting.

NO...wait a second...he hasnt been in squad for 24months, is naturally right footed and only played left back once in the euros when first choice left back matteo de sciglio who got injured. Its hard to imagine Darmian bombing down left wing whipping balls in with his wand of a left foot. So in essence basically you are talking sh1te, and Darmian is dire.

Hmm such a defensive line up and leaving out Pogba. Well done Jose you can't make it more clear of the dire personal equation with Pogba .

Anyways this game is a win win for us . If we win then all good and if we lose well more pressure on Woodward and most probably Jose out banners coming out in our next games so atleast the defeat will contribute to Jose sacking .

Many moons ago we had that game against Arsenal when they were champions and we had an injury crisis that made us field a midfield duo of Pip Neville and Juan Veron, which we bossed and won, so stranger things have happened.

People think 3 at the back = defensive? That's not what makes a team defensive. Arsenal have played like this all season. The defensive- or offensiveness of a team lies in the tactics, not the formation.

We have 5 proper defenders though. With Herrera and Matic shielding them. We are basically playing 7-0-3. This line up is as defensive as it gets!
