Zero creativity again. How does he muster courage to manage like this with sir alex watching and destroying the identity he built from decades of hard work.

Not one brain cell between Rojo, Smalling and Bailly.

    Gonna be a long night.

I have no problem with the lineup but I can’t stand Matic at the moment. Anyone but Matic and this is a good lineup.

Shit lineup after another. More moaning every game. Dropping our best player! Put no creativity in midfield. Jose is finished he is fecking finished and anyone who still care for this club should do something about it.

I'll be surprised if Arsenal don't get 3 or 4. The lack of quality in that United team is depressing as hell.

That back 3 of Arsenal isn't the most mobile, but then the only player who could play a threatening ball into space for United in the central midfield is Ander, who may not have much time in that congested midfield. Lingard will have to have a really good match and link well with his teammates. His movement should be fine per usual, but he'll need to find his teammates quickly.

Dalot against Kolasinic will be interesting as well.

All the people happy Pogbas dropped - Id not care if that same standard was appied to others (Matic). But you cant bench some players after stinkers and not others.

Nothing to do with stinkers. It has to to with mentality and following instructions. Its been said many times by players and manager. Managers don't 'rate' players performances like fans do, they have a specific set of instructions.

Matic always plays because he understand and executes instructions to the best of his ability. He's been bang average this season but he will never go AWOL and doing the opposite of what was asked of him. It has to do with trust.

You can give Pogba the same instructions and he'll do a different thing every time. Sometimes even ignoring instructions and doing whatever he wants. He's a player that seems to operate in his own world during the game, and then suddenly does something ridiculous that no other player on the pitch can accomplish.

If a manger thinks a player is showing a half-hearted, lazy, ill-disciplined attitude (as Pogba did in our last game) then he is right to drop that player, no matter how good he is.

The fault on Mourinho's part lies in everything he has done to bring us to the point where our best player is putting in that kind of performance. Mourinho should have been gone weeks ago and if he was then we probably wouldn't have this problem right now.

Pogba has to take his share of responsibility too though. His demeanour was dreadful last time out.

Oh, what a surprise, Serbian son is once again in the starting XI. Zero creativity in this team, my goodness.

I hate Jose but he’s right to drop Pogba, he was disgraceful in the last match.

Both of them need to feck off.

Not a team anyone wanted to see. Looks an awful eleven. Matic seemingly undroppable and no-one bar Mourinho seems to understand why. We’re dicking around with Pogba again and Mata can’t really get a game again despite being a good option recently.

Just saw the line up. How can you have your 2 expensive signings on the bench in a game like this? Mourinho is really a rare specimen.

Reeks of desperation that line up. Throwing the kitchen sink at the wall and seeing what sticks. Almost looks like hes trying to lose.

I cant wait to see how a player who hasnt kicked a ball in 6 months is going to fare against Aubameyang and Lacazette in defence. I suspect Jose is already preparing his "we need new centre backs" speech.

Mourinho's made a very pointed team selection
Mourinho has made it all about the players not in the team again rather than those who are in it. Lukaku’s demotion is fair enough and, so is Pogba’s. But not including Fred in the squad intensifies the acrimony at United. Was he Mourinho’s choice or wasn’t he? It poses questions and, whatever the Brazilian’s struggles, selecting McTominay over him is quite pointed. Ie. ‘He’s one of my guys’.

I think I may try and find that 2011 FA Cup game against Arsenal to watch instead of this.

2 DMs and 5 defenders. feckin sweet.

Can't wait to watch that front 3 bollocks up a counter too.

    This.

Say what you want about Pogba's attitude and Lukaku's touch, just remind yourself next time you moan about Jose not getting financially backed how his own signings are performing and how he is getting on with the players he brought in.

Who knows if Jose reacted to the Fred comments about not having a place

As for perreria... @FootyGirl88 is gonna have a nervous breakdown soon

It's a travesty that mctominy(or however you spell it) gets into the squad ahead of those two..

Ffs I'm loosing the will to live

And that sums it up. One of your guys over being a good player.

    De Gea
    Bailly Smalling Rojo
    Dalot Herrera Matic Darmian
    Lingard
    Rashford Martial

    is that the formation?

No. Matic has been terrible and has done nothing to deserve the position
Do the instructions include giving the ball away, taking 10 touches before passing, not tracking runners etc? If so he's doing a very good job at it

Yeah your right. Matic is perfect for this and has been better this season than pog......... hahaha

Nah I couldn't keep up that stupid way of thinking

I didn't even mention Matic. Matic should be dropped for Fred.

That doesn't change the fact that Pogba needs to be on the bench where he belongs.

Anybody make sense of the lineup yet? I almost want to turn back after seeing that. Scared what it might look like live. Surely we have to attack Arsenal at home? I hope to God this is some genius touch from Jose and I'm just a dumb fan...

I was happy just to not see Young/Fellaini/McTominay...but then you see the rest of the team and shudder...and then realize Fellaini and McTominay will probably be subbed on to chase.

That fecking Arsenal team is terrible.

Them getting giddy over that shows how far they've sunk.
