It could be a 352 going on the lineup alone, although Darmian and Dalot as the wingbacks is somewhat cause for concern.

Rashford and Martial as a front 2 is exciting.
I actually find cleaning my bathroom, with a real thorough scrub of the toilet to be a more exciting proposal right now. Alas, my addiction won’t let me stray:nervous:

So our best player of the season deserves to be dropped. But the players who turned up less than him should start?

    Ok mate Jose in

Different roles - he didn't get dropped for Matic (he normally partners him as Matic plays deeper and Pogba should be more responsible for orchestrating play). It looks like he's been dropped in favour of Herrera or McTominay - which makes perfect sense because Pogba has been rubbish.

And to your bold bit. Best player of the season? On your bike.

As I said, Matic should be dropped too probably for Fred. But that's a separate debate. Pogba should be off and so should Matic. I'll take 1 out of 2 not playing rather than 0.

He's forcing Pogba to hand in a transfer request because he knows the board doesn't have the nuts to bin him. All personal vindictive bullshit all the time with him.

First time in a very long while I felt nervous about playing Arsenal at OT...
How did you watch the Rashford game against Arsenal during the LvG reign. The one in which LvG took a tumble.
We had so many players injured and played Varela and TFM.

Is it his natural position in Italian squad? Oh sorry i clearly have inferior football knowledge. NO...wait a second...he hasnt been in squad for 24months, is naturally right footed and only played left back once in the euros when first choice left back matteo de sciglio who got injured. Its hard to imagine Darmian bombing down left wing whipping balls in with his wand of a left foot. So in essence basically you are talking sh1te, and Darmian is dire.

Thats all i have to say.

We should play Pogba at left back, he'd be better than Darmian.

Anybody make sense of the lineup yet? I almost want to turn back after seeing that. Scared what it might look like live. Surely we have to attack Arsenal at home? I hope to God this is some genius touch from Jose and I'm just a dumb fan...

There is no more genius left in Jose. Perhaps he will rediscover his golden touch somewhere else, but I've long since given up hope that he's still got it here.

Still undecided on whether to watch - I need to paint my nails and do my face mask

Matic must be very good then. But that wasn't my point; My point was how can a manager complains about lack of backing when he has his 2 expensive players on the bench with both being record breaking transfers?
Agree with you on all points!

Who is guy with glasses, next to Rio, I've seen him before, but can't remember his name if my life depends on it, ex Arsenal player, I think

Much like Jose's 15/16 season at Chelsea, chopping and changing the XI and dropping our best player. Let's see if he does an LvG and beats Arsenal with this line-up.

I was at that game. Won tickets on the back of a crunchie. Good times. 3-2

LVG got good performances against the big teams usually (not always). Didn’t seem to matter who we played in those games.

532 like it was against Southampton, with Lingard the most advanced of the midfield 3.

The defence will be disorganised because they haven't played together in months and its a new formation.

Herrera will be chasing shadows and completely isolated whilst Matic jogs around doing not a lot, and Lingard will be too far up the pitch to help until he gets a yellow card chasing someone back. Then we'll bring Fellaini on in place of Lingard to shore up our 1-0 defeat.

We just have to hope Martial can pull something out of the bag, and it's not Dalot thrown to the wolves at the final whistle.

Feck it mate, it’s dire and I have no intention of discussing it in details. I’m off to get drunk before it starts.
I don’t like it generally, but from the players available I don’t see a lot wrong with it

5-3-2 at home. I repeat 5 defenders at home. What does Matic do to warrant continually getting a start. Where is Fred. Not even on the bench. The only correct decision is the benching of Pogba

More than 50% of score predictions expect us to lose, at home  That could well be a first.

    Good times!

I am always fine with 3CBs and 2 wingbacks as a plan.....

but that rest of the team.. midfield-forwards dont look like they have enough to handle the midfield/attacking responsibility among themselves.

Matic and Ander will sit back.. Cant see Ander leaving Matic alone.. So basically Jesse, Martial and Rashford to create most of our attacks.

Oh boy.. Sit sit sit sit sit sit .. hope for a counter?

    343 it seems

Guess Jose is trying to make up with a shakey defence by putting an extra body in there, while also potentially overcoming our issue at right wing.

Suspect it will be a line up to suck up their attack and hit them hard with pace on the break. Herrera is in midfield as a ball winner, alongside Matic to shield the defence (he is the golden goose so will always get picked).

Bit annoyed with Darmian at the back, but I assume Shaw and young is injured, while Valencia would struggle at left back, so Jose would have had no choice. Would have strongly preferred to have Pogba and one of perreira/ Fred in midfield though

You are all over the place with your analysis there. Firstly you say it is 3-4-3, then you say you are annoyed with Darmian at the back. It is as clear as day that is a 5-3-2 formation at home

Ya. But my point was it was much more nervy that we had only a bunch of 21 year olds who were fit to play a full strength Arsenal team. That game had an Arsenal win written all over it. Before Rashford and Lingard made some miracles and Herrera sealed it

    Sick (of this circus)

Keeps moaning about Everton spending and other spending but keeps destroying and benching players he spent effing millions on.

We got fred to improve the midfield energy and he's been benched half the season.

If anyone got 11/11 on the predictor - please can you let me know what the lotto no’s are for the weekend.

Jose is just throwing a dice now and seeing if something sticks.
