    If Yoro doesn't start I don't see Maz not being in the back 3. No way we'll have Maguire or De Ligt on the right side against probably Doku or Grealish

    I agree. So it’s either Maz or Yoro on the right side. Grealish is easy to defend against, he slows it down. Doku will be an handful so will need a pacy player to handle him.

    Definitely not. Doesn’t have any of the strengths needed to play that and it weakens the best part of his game.

    Why does the record matter? City are the perennial champions and we share the same city. Its objectively the much bigger game for us than Arsenal these days. Liverpool away is a different matter because Liverpool are longer term rivals but City away is still the bigger game for us these days IMO for the reasons mentioned.

    Feels like this game will spark City’s rejuvenation in form. I’d be surprised if they don’t win this by 2 goals at least.
     
    City are gash...like very poor. No pace in the middle and in the back. Doku and Savinho are not the quickest either. I don't see a City win at all.

    I would like to see Mount start. I enjoy his interchanging , link up play and his ability to miss sitters.

    Think he may start, he leads the press and gives us energy. Trouble is though he’s normally invincible when he starts games. He normally makes a better impact of the bench.
     
    I don't mind that team if it's true, despite the concerns about it leaking. It would make sense to go with 5 out and out defenders in this one and I think Amad and Mount both deserve to play.

    You'd hope Mazraoui would be able to provide something going forward though to help Amad, because if that doesn't happen we're not creating anything with Bruno in midfield rather than at 10.
     
    I haven't felt this bullish on a derby day in I don't know how long. I hope I don't come to regret that feeling. :lol:

    They are making defensive mistakes we usually don`t see from them but they still play mostly well in attack and create a lot. They are certainly playing well enough to put a couple behind Onana. Lets just hope we can avoid giving away any big chances today.

    He did fine as cm against Arsenal. To be a 10 for Amorim, one of them needs the pace and dribbling to play on the counter and the other needs to be strong under pressure with their back to goal. Bruno is just more of a CM in this system.
     
    We weren't exactly convincing at Victoria Plzen so to expect win at City (even in their current form) is not easy for me. Except for that big loss to Spurs, City have actually been good at home and most of their bad results came in away matches. Beat Forest 3-0 recently and we've lost to them at home.

    It’s not causal, it’s just a correlation. Anthony Taylor refs the big games more often than other refs, and we’ve been shite and can’t win the big games. Here are our PL games with him as ref since 21/22, starting with the most recent.

    Ispwich away (1-1)
    Liverpool home (3-0)
    Liverpool home (2-2)
    Arsenal away (3-1)
    Spurs away (2-2)
    Southampton home (0-0)
    Arsenal away (3-2)
    Forest home (3-0)
    Villa away (3-1 loss)

    Southampton at home is the only one that is surprising. The rest, considering how we’ve played for the past couple of years and considering the opposition, are about what you’d expect even if SAF was the referee.
     
    The leaked team is good except for the lack of Mainoo, although I guess he’s not yet quite up to speed fitness wise for such a big game. Once he’s back he can switch in for Dalot then that would be my first choice team.
