I’d like to see this tomorrow. That’s be first choice back 3 if Martinez can pick up his form, frost choice WB’s and midfield, work rate and creativity in the 10’s and our best striker.

Think this is the best 11 we have at the minute.

Should be pointed out that on this terrible run City are on the majority of the bad results have come away from home. Having said that they’ve conceded something like 23 goals during this time, that has to be some of the most in Europe? I’d back us to score a couple tomorrow based on that.

They’re currently conceding the most big chances in all of the top five leagues in Europe

We’re so bad these days that Manchester City will probably win against us.

Yes, I think you'd need to be particularly "cup half full" to think we'll be getting much there as we try and work out how a back 3 works, and have very little striking power.

Yes, that’s the team I’ve gone for. Not sure Amorim will agree though. I think there’s an argument for Maguire to start against Haaland, and he might not want to risk Yoro. Interesting to see what he does tomorrow.

Last time we beat them at Etihad in front of a crowd was December 2019 with that Rashford penalty and goal from Martial. Otamendi scored 5 mins from the end to make it 2-1

City used to hammer our treble winning side in a derby.

Surprised how many starting 11s seem to contain Mount. He's been a bit of a nonentity since we bought him and I've seen nothing so far to indicate he should be starting.

It's off the back of a good sub appearance on Thursday, being a presser, and the fact this new formation means there's a whole new Mount shaped position in the team.

It's now (well over the next few months) or never.

Honestly can’t remember any apart from that one when Schmeicel was playing for them (few years after he left). And that was our mistakes not them being good.

There's the 3-1 at Maine road, and the 4-1 at the new ground early on that stand out when they were shit and we were class.

But plenty more examples. Munich anniversary game...

Yeah, that’s the Schmeicel game (3-1), first win in over a decade. Hardly any of the 99 team played, we were shit, I was there.

    It’ll change again

    You know what I meant!

Tough crowd but yes, only the two Nevilles, Scholes and Giggs from the treble side if we are taking me to task

Don't fancy either of Maguire or De Ligt as a wide centre back if there's any truth in that lineup.

Interesting if true. I wouldn’t have put money on Bruno in midfield actually sticking and becoming a thing, especially in a big away game.
Also interesting that he may start Maguire, which moves Mazraoui to a wing back spot and has Amad staying in the 10 spot from the last game.

I've been wanting to see Amad and Maz link down the right in these positions since Amorim took over so that's cool. I just didn't expect to see it tried for the first time away to City.

Why do we never have tons of pages anymore on match day forums? Especially derby day. I bet over on blue moon they have 70+ pages for this game….

Wtf. Luckhurst has already leaked tomorrow's lineup

Doubt this is true. Be suicidal to have Bruno in CM against a big team. Need something like Ugarte/Mainoo or Ugarte/Casemiro. Be interesting to see if Maz goes back into the back 3.

Most know the team is in progress so there's not a lot of expectations/anticipations. Save for a few... who wants us to win every game. If we lose "there is no difference compared to Ten hag"

No matter what the score is, i'm looking forward to this just to see if we are changing our approach to big games. Doesn't get any bigger than City away.

Liverpool away and Arsenal away probably bigger. Them 2 are the ground that we rarely win at.
