And if he gets injured tomorrow I’m chasing you
I hope not! I know Chelsea fans who genuinely felt he was one of their best players and were gutted to see him leave.
And if he gets injured tomorrow I’m chasing you
None of the full backs available ? Or do you only count centre backs as defenders?Christ. We only have 3 defenders traveling - Evans, Maguire & Martinez
Confirmed squad members:
Onana, Bayindir, Heaton, Dalot, Maguire, Evans, Martinez, Amass, Casemiro, Mount, Collyer, McTominay, Mainoo, Fernandes, Rashford, Amad, Antony, Garnacho, Sancho, Pellistri, Zirkzee
He probably won't start. He was with Brazil at the Copa. Bobb is more likely to start but still it's going to be a good test for Amass as Bobb had an incredible pre-season and it looks like this could be his breakthrough year.I am nervous about Amass. That lad that they brought (in a totally normal and not suspicious deal) from themselves will be looking to make an impact and was brilliant last season by all accounts.
Well put sir.I think we all hope that, pal.
And I think the new directors will improve things, but we probably won't see that really bear fruit until next summer. You have to remember that Ashworth and Berrada didn't start until July, the recruitment guy (Vivell I think?) came in after them. I think they've actually done well to get Yoro and Zirkzee in, as there was plenty of competition for this signatures, and they tried their best to move guys on.
SJR and INEOS said it would be 3 years until we were challenging, probably because they've seen the state of the clubs finances and the contracts these guys are on. I know people don't want to believe that, but they're not saying it for no reason.
There are things to be optimistic about though. Like, there is actually movement on a new stadium! We'll have a proper transfer strategy next summer, more contracts will expire anyway too. Can you imagine where we'd be right now if Woodward was still running the show and the Glazers were still burning money like it grows on trees?! Doesn't bear thinking about.
New lower-back sponsors

Not sure if he wasn't earlier but he is now listed amongst the squad on the MEN.No Eriksen
The state of our squad is a disgrace. I really hope no risks are taken with key players tomorrow or it could be a horrendous start to the season
Feels mad that this is tomorrow.
…… I expected quite a bit considering all the hype about our new board of directors, ……
…. I think the new directors will improve things, ….
Yeah I think we're both talking about the executive team, rather than the actual board.Just a point of order guys.
The board of directors is largely the same, with just the two INEOS appointees, John Reece (Co-owner of INEOS) and Rob Nevin, joining.
The 6 members of the Glazer family and 2 long standing independent directors remain in place.
Are you confusing the board with the changes to the executive and management team, such as Omar Berrada, Roger Bell and the various new characters in the football management team?
.
Yeah, definitely feels way too soon. How is this already here? PL game 7 days from now too.
It's too soon.
Yup. They give them three weeks to recover. He's not gonna lose fitness, he's gonna feel a heck of a lot better. Beside, he can always come off at 60... or even 45. This game means little for us.He played most of the Copa America and then had a couple of weeks off. He should be fine.
Malacia seems to be the second coming of Phil Jones. Something bad must have happened, and I fear that it's the club's fault. The feck is wrong with him? What kind of knee injury did he sustain?
Great, thanks! Maybe Bennett should be added as well?
Really honoring that tagline aren't you!4-0 City, which will include a clown show from the fool in goal
We really have to do something about these oppo posters slagging us off.4-0 City, which will include a clown show from the fool in goal
No AWB, Lindelof and Eriksen. Hopefully a sign all 3 are close to moves away so aren't being risked. Certainly seems the case for AWB with strong rumors coming from West Ham side that it's nearly done.
I’m sure it used to be Sunday. Maybe because we start the season on Friday this year it was rescheduled to give us enough rest?Aren't these games usually played on Sundays ?
They will take it less seriously. They have some important players missing too and haven’t won the community shield for 4 years.Hopefully City take this as seriously as they did the FA cup final.
It still beggars belief that we’re nervously looking at the injury list and the season hasn’t even started yet
