Does Rashford understand the concept of offside?
Shift him to the wing, sub off Martial, bring on Cavani and get Bruno on the ball more. He should be receiving the ball in areas where Pogba is receiving it.

Anyway, a difficult watch indeed. Felt they toyed with us a bit and if they step up a gear we are fecked.

We need to stay onside but not always look for the through ball. We need to be calmer at the back when playing out so I’d get Matic on and also switch Rashford and Martial.

Pogba's defensive work has really impressed me the past few weeks. maybe we could use him there and buy another quality forward-thinking midfielder or winger. at the moment we go through so many games not offering another going forward and rely on a moment of brilliance

Liverpool have dominated the ball, but we've defended well and have denied them shots on goal. The plan is clearly to nick a goal on the counter, and we made a couple of half chances that way.

To get a result in Anfield the first requirement is to defend well and that's what United have done in that 1st half. 1 shot on target for Liverpool and that came from a counter attack.

These lot are there for the taking. Their midfield is so soft and their line is too high. But! Bruno needs to calm down to pick the right pass and Rashford needs to sort himself out. Unforgiveable to be offside as much as this.

Very difficult first half as expected. Lost a lot of 50/50s, some poor clearances and lack of composure in the middle. However we did seem to get into it a bit after 30min. Need to up our game and sort out those offsides, we can get at this Liverpool side.

The Fred and McTominay pairing will never, ever be good enough to play football against teams like Liverpool.

Uses, they have many. But they can’t keep hold of the ball and control the tempo.

I wish we'd try to be calmer on the ball in midfield. Doesn't help also with Bruno being a give the ball away machine so far.

Pogba has played well. Our attackers haven't been involved too much. Rashford also need to check his runs, he simply can't keep getting caught offside every single run he makes.

Not a bad half. Rode the early pressure, worked ourselves into the game. Some decent passages of play.

Rashford has been truly awful so far. OGS needs to blast him at half time. Not just for the offsides. You can forgive that because all it needs is to get one right. He’s just not involved at all.
