Some of our players are clearly shook by the occasion of the fixture. We just need to believe in ourselves and play our game. The scousers are there for the taking IMO. Marcus though, needs to check his runs better.

Matic or donny on for Mctom.Well we grew into it slightly but Liverpool dominated us for 30 minutes.. Fred has been poor, constantly gives the ball away with his poor passing. Hes not the only one but he has been the worst culprit. Matic on for Fred if he doesnt improve by minute 55..Liverpool are definitely there to be gotten at
Oh definitely. But Rashford can be shite for 89 min and still come up with that one moment of brilliance. Gotta take the good with the bad.We've looked alright in fits and starts but we have to be braver in their half. Too many times where we've taken the safe option and passed back when we could've started up an attack.We had only one player good enough on the ball this half, Luke Shaw!Happy with 0-0 at half time, they were always going to start hot and wet just had to manage that. Would have liked us to be better on the ball but that can come in the second half hopefully.
Back 4 has been decent, with Shaw the clear stand out... Really disappointed with Fred and would expect much more from Bruno and Rashford.HT.

They were well on top at one point but we recovered well and it's been very even since.Would not be surprised if neither team go in to win the PL.7 offsides. That was about it...We desperately need a cooler head when we get near their box, because if we could just get a few passes together where it counts, their defence can be got at.
He's just switched over from playing PESFor that first half, I'd rate it offside/10.We need to calm down. I don't know why we're making it so frantic. Drop Bruno deeper and make it a real midfield 3 and let's show some patience. We know we have the pace to get in behind and have height for set pieces. I'm not sure letting it be this open works for us. Yes their CB pairing isn't good but they have a better midfield and attack and feels like we're the game they'd prefer to play.There is reason for United optimism in the second half.
Liverpool's forwards all look anxious and their supply from midfield seems to be slowing down.
If United can just time their runs better I can see them getting a breakaway goal or penalty opportunity.Just a game that shows where we are. Some obvious flaws but an obvious improvement on where we were a year or two ago.
We’re doing alright still there for us to win. Need to pass better though and someone needs to inform Rashford of the offside rule.We are playing a team with no centre backs and we have no shotsI know Liverpool are good at closing down but I still expect us to be alot more tidy in possession.We were very good defensively, but that came at the expense of being more present in attack.

Decent half where we grew into it and kept them at an arms length.Shite 30 minutes but getting a foothold now. I feel pretty good about things going into the second half. Matic in for McTom. Somebody in there has to start picking out a few passes.I think we've done well to get through the first half without conceding. Liverpool looking pretty toothless in attack. I have a better feeling about our potential performance in the 2nd half.Seeing Fred and McTominay, I can't help but wonder when did it become acceptable for a centre midfielder to only be useful in the defensive part of the game but lacking in the attacking bit?

It's been OK since then... and by OK I mean it's been horrid football from both teams with little quality but at least we stopped looking like some League 1 chancers.we have grown into the game, Rashy needs to learn to stay onside, Liverpool's best openings have fallen to Firmino (luckily), we've kept Mane quiet so far, Shaw has had a good game. Need to keep the ball better, sometimes looks like a hot potato
Are they feckOle complicating too much with that formation. Put Pogba on the left, Rashford on the right and Martial upfront. We looked terrible and didn't threaten that shit defence at all. Bruno also needs to show up, too many games now where he just settles for the Hollywood passes from 75 yards out.Did well to keep it level. But I don't understand why all of their players have great touch and passing while most of ours do not. All 22 are high level professional footballers. Weird.I hope we bring Cavani on for Rashford.
