The problem is our players are terrible in keeping possession of the ball.This is exactly how Mourinho set the team up against them last season. Think he has a fair point to be honest. We paid big bucks for him and he need s to turn up in big games, which has obviously always been his flaw. He’s in with the big boys now and sometimes you have to work hard and make your own luck! He’s getting pulled into petty nonsense at the moment and is lucky not to have been booked at least.
He would have disappointed with lukaku, herrera and mkhi. Look at herrera, he looks like a man jumping and huffing without any focus, compare that to matic, you will know what I mean.

I don't understand all the panic. 0:0 at HT is decent. We'll score sooner or laterGary Neviile seems to make his mind up before he's even seen a replay, and absolutely doesn't change his mind even when the replay shows he is wrong. Don't feed the troll.Our problem has been that first pass to transit from defence to attack. Apart from the DDG save, Liverpool has had largely tame efforts and potshots at our goal. Mourinho's gameplan is clear with Martial, Mkhit and Young, all 3 players who have good pace to run at Liverpool's defence. We need to release better passes when we win the ball back.A very Mourinho-esque first half, anybody doubting his approach before the game does not know him very well. Not pretty, not best - but limiting their best players. At the same time, showing them too much respect.
Final word though, this is not a very good United-team - so I fully understand him. Darmian, Young, Herrera and Smalling without much game time this season. Three of them would not even make the bench at Real or PSG. Missing Pogba massively, would be great to have him in the middle with Matic and Herrera.
Would take 0-0 right now, our players look sluggish and tired due to a) some not playing games and b) some playing internationals. Here’s for hoping!We look terrified tbh every time Mo Salad or Coutinho run at us. Darmian is a liability tbf though, and I'm not a fan of our defence without Bailly. We could really do with a player like Coutinho or Hazard to take people on and scare the opposition. Martial passing the ball to Liverpool or running into defenders, and Ashley Young just don't have the same effect.
The problem is your players don't want to have possession. They have been set up defensively by a manager who has a long history of playing very deffensive football in top games, in order to snatch a draw (most likely) or a lucky win.

He's right though. Lukaku has understandably appeared distracted. You can't score with that mentality.We're not a proactive team. We're reactive. Doesn't mean it can't be successful. That aside we are looking poor. If we are set up to counter we are doing it really badly. No movement when we have possesion (Lukaku chance aside) really need to step up second half.
Good news, Liverpool can't do anymore than they are now. They are at their best with 1 chance to show for it.I get that it's Anfield and against Liverpool but we're better than them. We are playing to nullify them when they should be playing to nullify us!

Don'tcriticise him, he'll make one assist at the end of the game and everyone will laugh at you, despite Mkhi being our worst player and being one of the main reasons we haven't scored before.
