You need creative player to hurt Liverpool in possession.

I'd take off mkh he is absolutely shit today. Mata on for me.

Sky can F off with their over analysis of Lukaku challenge . Of course it wasn’t dirty.

That was pure garbage. We're lucky it's 0-0. De Gea easily our best player. Typical small time from Mourinho, playing as defensive as possible.

What the hell has Neville got against Lukaku? Constantly criticising him all game despite the lack of service and at the end he was claiming that he had put his studs in Lovren's face even after seeing multiple replays showing that didn't happen.

I did say this wasn't going to be easy, people in the Fellaini thread thinking all we had to do was turn up. This is Anfield...

I feel optimistic tho, a few tweaks from Mourinho. A little attitude adjustment from some, we win this.

We have really missed Pogba. We can't play through the midfield at all.

Danny Mills, Ex-City player on the Lukaku incident:

    BBC Live Text:

    Neville needs to pipe down.

Phil Neville was giving it loads on feed i'm watching about how Lukaku could have been sent off for that foul on their full back.
    Amazing

Naughty by Lovren trying to get Lukaku. Atkinson has been poor we've broke a couple of times especially on the right and had them stretched and the whistle goes.

Not a great half from us. We've set up to exploit their weakness - breaking down a defensive team and the left back position but we've missed any quality going forward. I'd take 0-0 at this point.

People are complaining about the way of our attack ? Feck me the main complaint should be on our defending. Absolute terrible defending from us today, too much space open on the wings and their players are cutting through us so easily. We should have been much much more compact than this. Mikhi and Herrera are losing possession very easily it's unreal.

We have no way past their high pressing in absence of Pogba and Fellaini.

No. The conversation should be about why people are questioning United's defending, when Livepool defending is the shit one and United's is the best in the league?

And the answer is because Mourinho is too scared to attack a mediocre Liverpool side. Made his team park the bus in short.

It's like Mane super kick on the City keeper last month.

I don't know how Neville can look at that Lukaku Lovren incident and think it was in any way intentional.

    What is he thinking??

Lucky to catch the one lovely sequence from United with Martial & Lukaku in what was a rather expected display from a Mourinho side but not what I'd expect from United

Conservative over inspirational when I think United could actually show more

No replays of the fouls that were’t given against Young. Typical Sky and their bias toward Liverpool and Klopp. It’s a bloody joke.

If we are resigned to let them have the ball, at least press them more and higher up the pitch. Letting them run at us and play those one twos, twisting and turning in the final third could really hurt us if not for the fact that Liverpool can't finish for shit and we have Dave on our side.

Lukaku has been too isolated. Mkhi has been invisible like in all the big games, we need an improvement on him next summer. Young has been a defensive winger, falling over and having nothing in attack.
Mata and rashford in for mkhi and Young after 60 mins.

This is not a strong Liverpool side. Most Liverpool fans I know were pessimistic coming into this match, so not having a go at them in the name of 'showing respect' is a bit of a nonsense.
It will happen in final 20 mins. Mourinho famous for playing games like this one in phases - ultimate game management

If we can't even handle Liverpool we might as well forget handling PSG or other top CL teams. As a CL team, we should be outplaying Liverpool consistently if we want to even have a sniff at the CL. Man City would be outplaying Liverpool right here if they were playing now. And that's how far we are away, compared to our nearest rivals who would be torn apart by the likes of PSG.

    Dear me...

Well I think there's your problem. We finished sixth last season and you're expecting us to compete for the champions league? We're still rebuilding and there will be many ups and downs. This season is about getting back to a solid premier league challenge.

And like I said, SAF also used to get outplayed consistently at Anfield.

Not even having a go at Pool. We will get punished the way this is going.

It's incredible how he's gone form a pretty good pundit when he started his career and after the Valencia shit stint to an absolute drama whore and shit stirer that he's now.

Jesus, it's Carra, but he's about 100 times a pundit Neville is.

    Bit harsh.

I think Neville is trying not to be biased while wanting us to destroy them.

Too much over confidence in this thread before the game. They were always going to dominate the ball.

I doubt anyone seriousy think we will beat PSG in a double header tho!

Matic and Herrera should defend but Mata should create . Mkh is absolutely atrociously missing.

One moment of creativity came from martial in the middle and we created something which lukaku missed.
Pretty much everyone has to play a role in defence, in a game like this thogh, and Mikhi has the pace for the counters as well.

We've played well but struggling to create enough and when the opposition has DDG it's extremely difficult to score.

Need to move the ball quicker and we are badly missing Lallana and Mane. Just not enough guile. Need to keep competing and take a chance, one goes in and more could follow.

He always picks a player to criticize pre match. It's usually a player who he'll know will have little impact (Lukaku up top all alone) and then proceed to make himself look smart by criticizing him the entire game.

Which one for, Salah's dive, or Lovren's acting?
 The heel of Lukaku's boot clearly hit him in the face, whether intentional or not who knows, but that shit would have stung. Why was he acting again?
