    Lukaku

    Rashford ----------------- Mata

    Herrera - Carrick

    Matic

    Blind - Bailly - Smalling - Valencia

    De Gea

    -----------------DDG-------------

    Valencia -- Jones -- Bailly -- Young

    -------- Matic ----- Herrera ---------

    Mhkitaryan ---- Mata ----- Martial--

    ------------- Lukaku -----------------

That's what I'd like to see. Only uncertainty is the RW position, sometimes Mata is out there with Mhkitaryan no.10, so will just have to see.

So, with Mane out, things have evened out on the injury front. We just have to stop giving silly free kicks near our penalty box.

Think we'll go 343 for this one personally with the midfield worries. Jose will want at least one on the bench.

    DDG
    Bailly Smalling Jones
    Valencia Matic Herrera Young
    Mkhi Lukaku Martial

Jose spoke up Martials performance when we last used this formation as it gave him more freedom to get close to Lukaku and focus on his attacking.

Means we've got Carrick still on the bench incase of an emergency in midfield, Rashford for Martial late on and Lingard to come on for Mkhi if we want to lock the game down.

A guy on PL Today here said and I quote 'if Klopp thought VVD was the one to sort the defence, then Klopp was right. And it is right that Klopp didnt go to anyone else'.

When the other 'expert' cut him, he just laughed. I mean, really?

Mane out for 6 weeks is a big blow for Liverpool. Still, their attack will be decent with Coutinho, Firmino and Salah.

I wondered whether they will play with 2 or 3 CMs, now it is clear. They are going to start with Henderson, Can and Wijnaldum (if they are fit, that is).

Great news for us with Mane out, too bad for the player but not gonna pretend I'm not happy about it :)

Utd will Sit deep and hit them on the counter attack and with set plays, Standard. Getting nervous already and hopefully utd can get a win at juanfield

I'll be surprised if Jose plonks the bus like he did last season. We are a vastly improved team to last season and confidence must be sky high with goals aplenty and a solid defence.

Perfect chance for Ox to step up. They will probably play Countinho just behind their top two. Lets hope solanke and stuttridge continue their great form so far. We really need matic to pocket coutinho. Its upto our fullbacks with salah. Stick to soaking the pressure and we should be able to slice them open at the counter.

We should never play to their strength and attack them, klopp would love that, we should soak it all in, frustrate the crowd, push their gegenpressing to its edge, tire them out early since all their top players should be tired from arriving late from their NTs. Set pieces should be key, after gaining a goal or two advantage, we can play our tempo. 1-3 for manutd.

We’ve hardly done that all season, last season we did 2-3 a game it felt.
Yeah, we've been much better. Only Young still has that tendency to commit stupid fouls. But atleast it's on the left side, so Coutinho won't find it easy to score from them.

Liverpool FC (nicknamed The Reds) are an English professional football club based in Liverpool, England. Liverpool were originally founded in 1892 as "Everton F.C. and Athletic Grounds Ltd" (Everton Athletic for short), before finalizing on the name Liverpool Football Club and Athletic Grounds Ltd after a dispute between the Everton FC board and John Houlding, the owner of Everton's former premise at Anfield Road. Liverpool's forays into competitive football started when they joined the Lancashire League. After winning the league title in their first season, Liverpool were accepted into the Football League for the 1893-94 season, following the resignations of Accrington and Bootle.

One of the most successful and storied clubs in the history of European football, Liverpool have won 18 English league titles, 5 European Cups, 7 FA Cups, and 8 League Cups, peaking in the 1970s and 1980s, first under the enigmatic Bill Shankly, and then his 'Boot Room' successors. Although Liverpool's fortunes as a domestic and European force have dwindled in the past 25 seasons, they still have a massive global support-base. Liverpool have two fierce historic rivals - crosstown club Everton FC (matches between them are termed The Merseyside Derby), and Manchester United (who ironically ascended to consistent title-winning prominence as Liverpool declined in the Premier League era).

    When was that game?

Yeah it was. Liverpool absolutely battered us but we hung on in there, and nicked a jammy goal

Can see it being similar again TBH.

10 minutes into the game we should just get one of our players to tell Coutinho there's a call from Spain on hold for him in the changerooms.

I think we will lineup 5-2-3 or 3-4-3 ... whichever way you look at it, and hit them with pace on the counter.

    DDG
    Valencia, Jones, Bailly, Smalling, Young
    Herrera, Matic
    Mkh, Lukaku, Rashford/Martial

    Mkhi----Lukaku----Martial

Against their shambles of a defence. Oh dear, oh dear, oh bloody dear.

    4-0.

It's basically our default result, especially in fixtures we drew last season.
