Good thing is we play them after the international break. Think they were on form, now i dont see us losing 4-0, but 2-1.
Even bigger game after today's results.
Winning by 2 the best result then, just need to step up our game and get it done.Liverpool win by 1 goal = Liverpool 3rd, United 7th/8th (depending on Crystal Palace's result tonight)
Liverpool win by 2 goals = Liverpool 2nd, United 7th/8th (depending on Crystal Palace's result tonight)
Liverpool win by 3 or more goals = Liverpool 1st, United 7th/8th (depending on Crystal Palace's result tonight)
Draw = Liverpool 4th, United 7th
United win by 1 goal = Liverpool 4th, United 6th
United win by 2 goals = United 4th, Liverpool 5th
United 3 points behind fourth currently. A loss would make that five points with a trip to Stamford Bridge to come.
You might say Mata is playing further forward than Pogba but then it's probably not that simple. Does Wijnaldum play distinctly deeper than Lallana, would you say?Gini is playing deeper for us than he did at Newcastle. Probably lallana is a shout but merse is making the comparison, not me.
I don't as well. In fact, I have also said that we will get hammered by Pool 1-3, 1-4 and I'm thinking of placing a substantial bet on Pool to win. I don't have a good feeling about this match at all, which makes it all the more sweeter if I'm proven wrong. I really hope Mourinho realize how important this match is to us.To be honest..I don't think I blame any of them for being a bit confident....they are playing well...and they are at home!
There's sort of some logic in here, player by player we clearly have the better players.
The problem, is that Liverpool now have a real effective distinct style which looks to be a bit of a goal fest fantasy, while we're too early in to have a definitive way of playing yet.
Add to that we have a tonne load of things to sort out, like the Rooney issue, getting Miki integrated, and Martial back to last year's form, how to get Rashford involved when Ibra is taking his preferred position, and the little aspect of how to best use our 90m man!
Throw in a collection of expensive midfielders who still don't quite offer what we need, and we still need a chunk of sorting out.

I haven't seen any of that. I for one am not confident because of the weight of expectation on us to win the game.I might have read it from other threads but I am pretty sure most of you are coming off as really smug saying you can beat us comfortably.
That would be nice.Liverpool win by 1 goal = Liverpool 3rd, United 7th/8th (depending on Crystal Palace's result tonight)

Errr no. I was responding to a question because a poster attempted to catch me out on contradicting myself. How can you compare United to Liverpool when Liverpool have won a grand total of feck all recently? They got to two finals last season and choked. United at least have won the FA Cup this year. And to answer that question, Mahrez and probably Drinkwater would get into the side. What the heck has that to do with the question 2 posters have asked you?
Based on your absurd claims Leicester have a better team than anyone in the league - correct? So how many of their players would get in United's team? Quite a lot I assume as they are the best team....
I don't care how many Liverpool players would get in a combined eleven, it's not important - how they play & perform as a team is.
Your comments on Coutinho are laughable also. "Hit and Hope - one trick pony", Firmino is "slow" and then earlier you claim others know nothing about football?!
You are so biased and blinkered it's unbelievable.
Scroll back a few pages, even United fans are saying the same.
"We won the FA cup what have you won" - grow up, how old are you about 12?
Well they said he's shown better form this season, which is true. No one doubts that Pogba is the better player in terms of ability.
The game isn't tomorrow. There's no way United will get a win tomorrow, unless we get out of the block quickly which we haven't done this season. Going to be a result similar to city's. We don't seem to learn from our previous games.
After the game is over, Carrick or Rooney will come out and say how disappointed they are for the fans and we need to put this behind us and learn from this and then go back to square one.
Jose will put some player under the bus before reminding the world how great Zlatan is and the whole next week the media will take potshots at the club.
Would really love United to just knock Liverpool away.
Liverpool won't be getting a win tomorrow either mate, or a draw for that matter. The game isn't until Monday. There's no way United will get a win tomorrow.
2 weeks ago City were these untouchable force that everyone from fans to pundits were pointing to casually walk and win the league.
2 weeks later few things have gone south and some people are actually starting to think rationally rather than just reactionary kneejerk claims such as City walking the league.
Now people have switched to Liverpool and we have talks of them smashing us. Something tells me in a week or 2 from now the narrative will once again change and people will be over rating yet another team due to how reactionary people are in general.
Of the 13 times we've won the Premier League I can't remember us being pre-season favourites, other than in 1994 and 2000. It's ridiculous how often we get written off.
Even more ridiculous how often people who get paid to talk and write football fall into truisms: declaring who will win and who will get top four after seven games...
I will bet anyone that Liverpool won't beat us tomorrow. I'm so confident, I'll even bet they won't even draw. Who wanna take the bet? Who is man enough to take it?
Absolute cup final for us. Don't know whether we will win but this won't be an easy game for Liverpool.
Ive just been arguing the toss with my mate who's a Liverpool fan. It started when I said Henderson was shite and it was a joke he was England captain. But I said that was not because he plays for Liverpool, I just don't rate him. He replied that he'd get in United midfield above Fellaini, Lingaard and even, as he said, Pogba at this moment.
Watch him bloody score on MondAy now!Think he's over cooking his eggs.
I do however think he's better than most people think. I was under the impression he was the kind of guy to give you 100% but without that quality needed for top 4 teams. I think he has shown flashes of genuine top class ability this season but they are flashes. Also don't underestimate the sheer balls it takes to step into Gerrards shoes. He can't win 1) he's just not as good and never will be 2) when he try's to be the 'captain' gobbling off and throwing his weight about a bit..he is ridiculed for that. If he didn't bother he would be ridiculed also.
End of the day Klopp doesn't suffer fools and I don't think he's let him keep the arm band if he didn't think he was a decent footballer.
I think he's at a cross road this season if he can captain us to 4th playing most games and maybe even get the England captaincy most people will have to except that just because he's not a Gerrard Scholes or Lampard that you don't get those things without having something about you
He scored, then was made England captain, thus he was an instant legend for them.Wasn't Henderson deemed shite just 5 games ago by 'Pool fans? I can't keep up with the boom bust cycle of theirs.
What I find ever more surprising are our own fans throwing in the towel this early. I understand journos and pundits talk rubbish and nonsense all the time and their analysis and opinions of things are very reactionary.Of the 13 times we've won the Premier League I can't remember us being pre-season favourites, other than in 1994 and 2000. Welcome to the fickleness of fans. It wasn't really that long ago after they Burnley match where Henderson couldn't make a bloody simple pass that everyone was laughing at him and Pool fans were absolutely maddened because of him, wanting the guy to never kick a ball for them againWasn't Henderson deemed shite just 5 games ago by 'Pool fans? I can't keep up with the boom bust cycle of theirs.

From their point of view:Find it odd how most pundits think this will be a straight forward win for Liverpool. Advantage them obviously, but we haven't played poorly. We just struggle to score at the moment.
Just need Zlatan to get his goal scoring boots on again.

We lost the league after leading the table by 6 points with 6 or so games to go not too long ago. United fans should be well aware of how the things aren't done until they're truly are yet you get this sense that the majority on these boards think there is no title hope for us just because we're 5 point off the top team with 31 odd games to go
And we usually always get written off for some reason even when we were constantly dominating the league. Very odd.
