I wouldn't call it ideal I agree but Pogba is finding his feet, Zlatan will be rested, Martial raring to go, Rashford also itching to play, Rooney on the bench...Hamstring I believe, unlikely he will play. Will be missed as he has been very effective so far. Lallana probably doubtful too.
Not ideal if both are injured.
This. Give me the point already!1-1. I would take it now.
Looks like it was deflected by the defender and not the ball.
We will lose and people will say it's because we didn't play 4-3-3 when it have not to do with it.

Fecking hell, I hope the majority of you lot aren't in the crowd next week at Anfield.
The lack of belief in this thread is staggering.
Yeah I'm getting the same feeling. The injuries will upset our midfield and the way we press. It wouldn't be the end of the world but would certainly lift United and Mourinho.Dont think we'll win, just have a bad feeling about this one now.
Which ref?FFS all I am seeing on my timelime is Liverpool fans going on about the ref being from Manchester, fecking idiots, he is a shite ref anyway.
But what is it , if we win it will be because of the bent ref.

Well this is what they call nerves. No matter how good and confident one is heading toward a challenge, the closer to the judgement day, the more doubt creeps into one's mind.Yeah I'm getting the same feeling. Got to love this bit
and even though he “theoretically” supports non-league Altrincham, giving him the whistle when he is born and bred in the shadow of Old Trafford is certain to raise questions.
I actually think that a defeat hurts United more than it hurts us. If we lose it doesn't really do any serious damage to our top four ambitions (even though it would be frustrating to lose points) given that our fixtures aren't that bad between the United game and Everton in the middle of December.Well this is what they call nerves. A week or 2 ago, with the run Liverpool has been on, optimism is at an all time high. People are still pumped and everything, but the closer you get to the game the pressure is starting to be felt.
The good news for most United fans on this forum is that they've already conditioned themselves to take a defeat from this game. They've been pessimistic and have built that psychological defensive mechanism to cope with a bad result by telling themselves throughout the entire week that they'll get trashed by Liverpool.
You on the other hand were most likely expecting a win and a defeat would be a shocking result which would be more of a blow than someone who was already expecting defeat.
On a personal note, I'd like to do 3 in a row at Anfield in the league. Let's make it our fortress when we play you guys over there in the league
I'm not talking in the grand scheme of things or from the club's perspective. I'm talking about this particular game and how expectations are set from each set of fans.I actually think that a defeat hurts United more than it hurts us. If United lose though you'll be six points behind us and possibly eight points behind City, whilst having to go into an away game at Chelsea with one win in five league games and four points from fifteen. I'd also expect Arsenal and Spurs to win their games so you'd drop further behind them as well. Considering how many people (myself included) expected United to compete for the title this season, I don't think three defeats in the opening eight games is going to look very good for Mourinho.
I can't shake the feeling that you'll get a win though.
I see what you mean. I think the general feeling is that Liverpool are favourites for this game but this fixture is never as simple as who ever is in better form at the time wins. I dread them every year because losing feels awful.I'm not talking in the grand scheme of things or from the club's perspective. Of course a loss would be disastrous and another set back for out league campaign and this game we need to get something out of it, that much is obvious. However what I'm talking about here are fans expectations for this game.
Just reading this thread you get the sense that most United fans around have already resolved themselves to a defeat(not that agree with such attitude) while Liverpool fans are buzzing around and expecting to win this game, some even think it'll be a thrashing. So after seeing how each set of fans expectations from this game, a defeat would particularly sting a lot more to those already envisioning a heavy and convincing victory.
Thats redcafe for you.
I'll take a scrappy, ugly, dirty 1:0 win with Liverpool missing numerous chances.
Is Can likely to come back in for this? Say what you will about him he was a big player for them in the Europa encounter last year.

Highly likely he will replace Wijnaldum, Lallana doubtful too.
I still hope he does start. That one performance aside, he's looked like a liability against us, and against other big sides who are able to field more natural midfielders than him. Herrera and Pogba both fall into that category.
Plus he might be rusty. And they're playing this good stuff without him in the side, so a change can only be a risk for them.
