You've had 1 win against relegation fodder and some are saying you'll walk into the top 4 again and we're the ones getting ahead of ourselves? The irony

I know. It's obviously completely ridiculous of us to think that the biggest team in England, the team who has continuously walked the top four, and now having just hired a world class manager and bought the world class players that we have, will somehow manage to sneak back into the top four again. How obliviously ironic I am to point that out to a billy big balls fan of the mighty Leicester City, who if the rest of the Premier league aren't careful, will finish in the top four themselves!

With the players we have now (which we didn't in the first three games btw) it would be criminal if we didn't finish top four. Leicester, on the other hand, will do very well to stay up.

I think the early goal will be important, if we can score within the first 20 mins it will make things tough for Leicester and force them out to attack, that what undid QPR and the reason Liverpool were strong last year, I hope we fly out of the blocks, people are expecting us to fail again, a few quick goals and we could be comfortable winners

Hope Mata stays in. Not bothered who gets the nod between RVP and Falcao. More interesting is left side of defence - same as last week or Rojo and Shaw?

Do you not think there's a reason for that?
People overreacting to a single win, you've had 1 good performance so far against an appalling team in QPR (at home as well) I'm simply saying stop getting carried away some have said your defence is solid now, it was barely tested last weekend

Sunday the doubters will burn in hell

it will be very hard day for us unless we score an early goal.so far leicester has done pretty well....they managed to take 5 points from their very tough opening 4 games(chelsea and stoke away and everton and arsenal home).they are quick, well organised and most importantly have high fighting spirit(they came back from behind to get draws against everton and arsenal).hopefully we score more than them and my prediction is 3:2 to us.

What if Leicester is also an appalling team like QPR? Your team had a good start, but aren't you also getting carried away to a certain extent?

Mainly the people here are delighted because there is an improvement in the performance. We are not saying we will win the league, but we are saying we are going into every match looking to win and your team is unlucky to face us at this time.

It will be a difficult game. We are far from a super team now. Sure if Di Maria play again we may hope he wins us the game, but it will be difficult. If he would be injuried then we would be back to the play we had at the start.

I'd say they are lucky to be facing us at this time... Once this new team gels a few teams are going to get an hiding from us.

What I'm saying is, there's a reason why we're being heavily tipped for a top four finish. We've signed some top drawer talent and played our best football in a very long time against QPR. It's very easy to forget that we weren't even looking good against the likes of them not too long ago. Writing off that performance as 'it was only QPR' would be very dangerous my friend.

One season outside top four and everyone is having a go, this world. You are seriously deluded if you think United won't walk into the top four, we will.....we have always been there barring last season when we had a clueless manager.

We could well be, though I don't think so, but that wouldn't change my point.

You like your hyperbole don't you? Who says we're walking top four? We only say we have a pretty good shot at it and could do that. You won't know that (for obvious reasons) but teams of United calibre are expected to beat at least everyone outside the top 4 (home and away) regardless of each team's form. If they don't, they usually get bollocked for that. Unless you've never laughed at a massive club losing to a mediocre (with all due respect) one? if you do that then you're a bit self-contradictory.

We may not win as we obviously have to bed the new players in and we haven't grasped the new tactics to the full extent. However, if you think we are when we were last season then I hope the whole league share your silly optimism because they are in for a few ridiculous scorelines.

Anyone know when LVG is having his pre-game presser? Have we any of our injured players back this week? I reckon if Smalling is fit then we might be looking at three at the back again. If LVG is going to persevere with it, which I expect him to at least in the short-term, then Leicester away is probably a good game to try it again. Not because of them being weak opposition or anything, quite the opposite in fact – you’d expect a fairly stern test of a 3-5-2 against them and at the same time it would be away from Old Trafford so maybe a little less expectation/pressure etc.

I'm not too fussed about the starting XI as long as Valencia is no where near it...what I'm hoping for most is 4 at the back.

    None of this 3 shit

    De Gae
    Rafael Blackett Rojo Shaw
    Blind
    Herrera diMaria
    Mata
    Rooney Falcao

Even better if its rvp instead of Rooney.

Going to be interesting to see how Van Gaal sets up. For me, the only positions I would consider changing from QPR would be Van Persie for Falcao and Shaw for Blackett

More of a test this week, confident we'll score, just concerned about conceding.

Both teams will score I'm certain of that. It'll be interesting to hear Van Gaal's presser to see if we have any knocks or anything.

Thing is though against QPR, United looked like they were set out as three at the back when on the attack. Because Rafael and Rojo were pushed up in wing back position when on the attack. Especially Rafael, he was always up on the wing attacking and overlapping. Then when the opposition got the ball they form back into a back four. When the fullbacks pushed up, Blind just sinks into the defense and forms a back three as the sweeper player in the middle. Every player on that pitch knew their role and it flowed brilliantly. alot interchanging which i havent seen united done since the 07/08 squad. One time i saw Di Maria in the middle, next thing he's playing as a winger. Every player was covering each other. Brilliant team work.

Thing it was QPR and they played awful, but that game showed a glimmer of what united are now capable of with the talent they have brought in.

Totally agree with you about Valencia. He's too predictable, cant cross as used to anymore. It's a shame, even worse if you putting in the full back, he's strong player but he isnt a defender. Time to go.

Oh god I hope you're wrong. Its not coincidence that we played our best game of the 4 using 4 defenders rather that 3.

For me I can see a few changes, the midfield diamond will stay the same and rightly so, we need these guys to build up an understanding as soon as possible even though they looked like they've been playing for years against QPR which is very positive!

The strikers will be changed, I'm sure one will be dropped for Falcao until the hour mark at least and judging on the last game it will most likely be RVP. If we were in a 3-0 situation I'd love to give Wilson minutes although that is unlikely to happen since all of our 3 world class strikers need as many minutes as possible.

The defense will be an intereting one, Rafael and Shaw are nailed on starters IMO but the CB positions will be a tough one to call if Smalling is back fit there is a possible 4 choices then with him, Rojo, Evans and Blackett. I'd love to see both Blackett and Rojo play but that is very unlikely with both of them being left footed, its great for depth but Blackett has done nothing to justify dropping him but also Rojo wasn't signed to sit on the bench but I guess like our striker options its a good problem to be faced with.

    ...........De Gea
    Rafael-Evans-Rojo-Shaw
    .............Blind
    ...Herrera.......Di Maria
    .............Mata
    ....Falcao.......Rooney

Subs predicted from us winning during the game.

Subs: RVP for Falcao, Januzaj for Di Maria or Mata & Fletcher for Herrera or Blind.

Yep, no arguments from me with that one, but I reckon that LVG won’t have given up on it just yet.

I would just like to see another good performance and a win. 1-0 wouldn't be a terrible result as I think Leicester will pose more of a challenge than QPR, especially at their own ground.

This is the sort of game where Leicester will be mega-motivated - the players will press like dogs and the crowd will be up. I genuinely feel we've turned a corner though; we look a completely different team with the likes of Blind, Hererra and Di Maria starting in midfield. Hope we don't make changes for the sake of it; the team played well against QPR, so keep it as it is, with the possible exception of Falcao coming in for RvP (based on form).

Will be extremely difficult to get a result here, the team will need to be on top form.

    I'm going for a 2-2 draw.

I really want adnan to get the start, but who do you drop? I'd be tempted to play him as a floating striker up top with Rooney in the diamond.

We might be putting our strongest eleven vs Leicester:
    ----------------De Gea--------------------
    ---Rafael----Evans----Blackett----Shaw---
    --------------------Blind---------------------
    ------------Herrera-----Di Maria------------
    --------------------Mata--------------------
    --------------------------Rooney------------
    ------------Falcao---------------------------

Blackett doesn't deserve to be dropped IMO, not sure about Evans though.
    Exiting times.

Right now, I'm thinking we'll see the exact same starting 11, but I'll wait until after Van Gaal's press conference before making my final prediction. I think it will end up 3-1. We score first, then Ulloa scores for Leicester and then in the 2nd half we score a further 2 goals. The game will definitely be tough though. Leicester seem to press high up the pitch and will have a lot more heart and determination than QPR had. I'm very interested to see how we handle this game tbh.

Falcao surely won't be starting another game on the bench behind an out of sorts Van Persie. Otherwise, I don't expect any changes.

Win against relegation fodder for me is not a reason why i think we will get top 4.There are few things, all could see bad and good things when it comes to our own squad, you could also see idea behind how we gonna play football one day,at the end of game you could sense that home games would not be disappointment like last season, crowd was electric vs QPR.

Dont get me wrong, dont think that game vs QPR is clicking moment, for that i believe we are at least 6 weeks away but clicking moment will happen at some point and then there is only one way for us,UP.Hell,we even can lose this weekend but doubt that will have much effect on last day picture. At least thats what i believe and hope.
