Will be extremely difficult to get a result here, the team will need to be on top form.

    I'm going for a 2-2 draw.
I think it'll be a draw now as well. It'd be a brilliant result if we could nick the win and get a run going, but Leicester will press us and we've struggled with that so far. Not a chance will we be afforded the space QPR gave us so we will have to put in a very good performance to get 3 points.

Am i missing something, i know Leicester haven't had a shite start but are they really going to give us a game. We haven't gelled fully yet obviously but the quality in our team will be too much for them. They'll concede early and lose confidence and we'll bag a few more. Let's not get carried away here, they won't make the top half this year, and yes QPR weren't a tough game but a lot of teams won't be with the squad we have acquired. 3-0 minimum

    Do you even follow football?

Leicester have comeback from being in losing positions 3 times this season already (twice against Everton, and once against Arsenal). They are not a team who will lose confidence early, they are new to the Premiership and will want to fight for every minute of the game in the opening fixtures.

We can't take your attitude into the game because we'd most likely slip up.

    I agree with this.

Like he says Leicester are not bad footballing team they play good stuff and fight for every point, which they will have to do each and every game to stay in this league.

I am going for a 2-1 win. For us obviously.

There are no easy games away from home in the PL at this stage. I think we will sneak it 2-1 or 3-2.

We've only got six injuries now!

Smalling is back, but I doubt he'll get to start. I rate him over Evans, but not sure if he'd be thrown into a tough away game when we have Evans and Blackett who are fully fit and played recently.

Shaw will only get in the side if Blackett is dropped, but is there much of a reason to drop him?

Is Shaw fit enough to start this game? I can see Blackett playing alongside Evans and Rojo out left.

Shaw played 45 mins for the U21s on monday. As to whether that makes him fit to start or not, is up for discussion. I believe he's been out injured since the Liverpool match at the end of the pre-season tour. Not sure about recent behind closed doors matches. LVG mentioned on tour that Shaw had recently been put on an individual training programme to improve his fitness. Due to his injury, he hasn't had much time to work on his fitness.

I think he'll probably start on the bench again. Would be excellent if we were a couple of goals up by the 60th min so he could get a run out.

I just cannot wait for our matches now that we have all these players. Been counting the days down. A week between each match is a hell of a long time to have to wait this season. I just want to see Di Maria play again.

Hi Leicester Fan here, think we will give you a good game Sunday, pressure your back four and can see us causing a upset.
Anyway real reason for coming on your site was to warn you that A50/M1 round about is having work carried out over the whole weekend. They are closing one side of bridge. Reports are that it's going to be manic all weekend so may be worth missing that area.

Yea because our midfield over the past 18 months has been mostly been average players who have not been good enough for united, apart from carrick, look at the rest, fletcher, cleverley, anderson, fellaini, valencia, nani, young, an ageing scholes and giggs, along with a lightweight kagwa, and a janazaj new to the PL from last season. Those have been the united options for far too long.

Now the midfield going into tomorrows game can pass the ball, and there is legs in the team, and the most important thing, there is pace in the team now which united have lacked for a while now. From Burnley away of fletcher di maria mata with young and valencia at wingback, to rafeal and rojo at wingback, with blind di maria herrera and mata in midfield is a different ball game all together, and this time we will give teams a tough game, because the team can pass and move the ball

People overreacting to a single win, you've had 1 good performance so far against an appalling team in QPR (at home as well) I'm simply saying stop getting carried away some have said your defence is solid now, it was barely tested last weekend

I will give you one game from last season

man utd 2 2 fulham, where were fulham last season when it ended 2 2? ah yes bottom of the league

People forget this, we would drop points to god awful teams, even bottom of the league. So its been nothing new united have dropped points to a QPR, any team that can field blind di maria herrera mata rooney RVP, should be looking at a top 4

We might be putting our strongest eleven vs Leicester:
    ----------------De Gea--------------------
    ---Rafael----Evans----Blackett----Shaw---
    --------------------Blind---------------------
    ------------Herrera-----Di Maria------------
    --------------------Mata--------------------
    --------------------------Rooney------------
    ------------Falcao---------------------------

Blackett doesn't deserve to be dropped IMO, not sure about Evans though.
    Exiting times.
Blackett will be replaced by Smalling but he has no reason to be ashamed of his performances. Evans must play and will seeing as he's our only CB with sth resembling technique and quality on the ball and passing. He's made two terrible mistakes but his passing is on another level to Smalling's or Blackett's and Van Gaal knows that. Then you've got Rojo who's good on the ball but I don't include him as he will play LB come Sunday. He will be our second ball CB after Shaw is match fit and replaces him on the left. Shaw's slowly getting there, I've seen him in our u-21 game and he looked sharp-ish. I think he'll get that LB spot in the following game, a couple of weeks tops.

I am worried about this high optimism in the thread. it will be a tougher match than most think. I watched the arsenal-leicester match, and fair to them, they pressed well with good counter-attacks

I will be delighted with any sort of victory.

I will be happy to be proved wrong and win handsomely by 2- or more goal margin..

In the first 3 games, we never had blind, di maria, mata, herrera, rooney, rojo and rafeal all in one starting 11, and the ability to swap RVP for falcao, any team that fields valencia young fletcher cleverley has the creativity and CM of the team, is not going to do much at all.

Prediction: Leicester 1-3 (Di Maria, Januzaj, Falcao)

This lineup looks good to me and is what I'd go with. Having watched Van Gaal's press conference I wouldn't be overly surprised if Mata was dropped in favour of a Rooney, RvP, Falcao front 3 though. I'm pretty worried about us defensively and can see Leicester bagging a couple of goals, particularly as the diamond makes it relatively easy to isolate our fullbacks. Think we'll scrape through and win it 3-2.

Agree. And, I wish I shared your optimism. But, QPR had been terrible so far and have slipped in lots of goals. Leicester on the other hand will be much more compact, and have good options upfront. One mistake at the back from us, and we will be in the backfoot. Blind was shrugged off the ball easily a couple of times against QPR, Herrera will drop back, but he has a tendency to lose his marker in a cut-back (saw it against QPR in one match, no one highlighted as we didn't concede, thanks to De Gea), and our current CB options are not that settled yet. That doesn't mean they won't come good with more matches.

But, till we win consistently till everton, let's hope we keep improving steadily. Big tests will be everton and chelsea before we should share the high optimism, I think.

Some of you are acting like Leicester are just a bunch of FKWs showing up to get autographs from our admittedly awesome forward line. They will get more chances than QPR, and they will no doubt put at least one away. I'm predicting a 3-1 or 3-2 win to us. Fletcher and Anderson will be as useless as a chocolate chastity belt, so the same line up as QPR please, Mr vun Carl.

Ángel and Mata are going to continue their bromance by going fox hunting. Mata already proven to be a worthwhile steed in training.

Will be extremely difficult to get a result here, the team will need to be on top form.

    I'm going for a 2-2 draw.

    Extremely difficult?

It's bloody Leicester City, Not Manchester City.

We are Manchester united, last Sunday's result doesn't mean anything. I expect us to improve but the struggles are not over yet. Imo of course.

I agree with him. Theyve started the season well and were very good at home to Arsenal. They will be well organised and difficult ot break down. People expecting us to batter them just because of last weeks result will be in for a surprise IMO.

We will batter them. Confidence is high and team morale seems exceptional at the moment. Oh, and we have world class players, they're Leceister.

I'm not saying we'll batter them, but frig me, if we class Leicester City as "extremely difficult" we might as well not bother turning up at any big teams grounds this season.

Our team needs to gel first, but I'd argue we have the finest set of attacking players the Premier league has ever seen.

Falcao,Rooney, VP, Mata and Di Maria?!?

Strikes me as a Stoke type fixture. Difficult place to go, team set up well etc. we've lost to far worse teams over the last year or so (admittedly we now have a far better squad/manager). Chelsea found them hard to play against and that was at Stamford Bridge. It will be tough, but I do expect us to win. Gone for 2-1 on the poll thingy.

People are starting to overrate some of them again. Sure Falcao might be good here and Di Maria is world class, but Rooney is far past it even if he can have the good odd game. Persie is past his best as well although he can with great service score some goals, but he is a very limited player. So it Mata who is good on the ball, but need a lot of movement next to him to be at his best. Herrera and Di Maria will give us some of that, but I think we would need that from our strikers too.

Our front four of Giggs/Nani,Ronaldo, Rooney, Berbatov/Tevez in 2008/2009 was probably our best attacking team so far. Only Di Maria is on that level in our team now.

Oh cmon, this is getting ridiculous. Rooney, Falcao, Di Maria, Mata, Herrera, RVP will have problems with a team that basically costs 1 million?

You're badly overreacting here. It won't be easy, it won't be difficult - it will entirely depend on how we play. If we are on form, then we will batter them. If not, then we will still most likely win.

The only thing we should worry about is if our defence doesn't make another blunder that will cost us.

They took points off Arsenal and Everton as well as beating Stoke and giving Chelsea their toughest game of the season so far.

It would be a mistake to underestimate them but I'm confident that if we play like last week we'll get a result.

It's easy to forget after that one performance that we're still a relatively new team and we won't click like that in every game.

You seriously think Leicester was put together for a million? You do know Uchoa cost £8m this summer for a start and they basically bought their way to the title last season with the wages they pay players. They are a very rich club these days, their owner is a billionaire.

For this reason I don't buy the little old Leicester thing either, that washes with Burnley but not with these. I suspect with the money they have, they'll finish mid table.

I suppose we've won the match then. Just like we did vs Burnley. (And the bit in bold is incorrect)

    Would love to see this:

    De Gea
    Rafa - Evans - Rojo - Shaw
    Herrera - Dí Maria
    Mata
    RVP - Rooney

Don't think Falcao is up to speed just yet, but the pressure should be on him to break into the team, not jus start because Robin hasn't started too brightly.

If this team can gel, we should be one of the most exciting teams in the league to watch!

I'm expecting a tough, close game but one after which we will have an idea of where ee stand right now, how we respond to setbacks and rough house tactics etc. I also think that we now have enough energy and class on the ball coupled with the finishing ability to take the game away from anyone. That ability to create(Di Maria, Mata, Rooney and Herrera) and score goals(Falcao) out of nothing could win the day for us.
