After the break, Souness gives his opinion on Falcao and believes he "needs to start showing he can score goals".
"Sir Bobby was a great player, but what has he done recently?"After the break, Souness gives his opinion on Falcao and believes he "needs to start showing he can score goals".
Erm, yes, absolutely.Does Rooney track more runners back then Mata as a #10 ?
SAF and even Moyes certainly didn't think so towards the end. Putting Kagawa and Welbeck there even to do a defensive job in big games
While rotation was expected, what's disappointing is LVG's comments on Mata saying he is not happy with Mata as a midfielder.
That's true but surely if someone is to be dropped it should be RvP, he's literally done nothing in every game so far, he looks like he can't be assed playing football.
Lol but the quote you quoted had 2I am sure you had it down as 1 on the bench and mentioned Fletcher, Edited?
Nevermind, great stat though eh?
Can someoe send me a link to a river plz.
If either of you get one pass it on!Would any of ye be kind enough to pm me a stream please?!
That Mail tweet is, unsurprisingly, completely misleading. He was laughing about it, not in any way complaining.
Hes right though, when he was signed Nev was one of the only pundits that questioned it and tbh hes been proven to be spot on.
I personally think Mata would be awesome behind Rooney and Falcao but LvG wants to get more minutes out of RvP
He IS better. But my opinion on LvG turned out to be wrong. I thought he was the stubborn type and that we'd see the ineffective 3-5-2 for at least another month. Instead, he changed it the second he saw something better as an alternative. He'll do the same here.A bit unfair that Mata is set aside instead of RVP imo, he's looked much better thus far in the season while also adding cohesiveness to the team.
Bloody Foreigners coming here and speaking Spanish
I just saw Rooney's interview now, it's ridiculous how they have made it sound.

Yeah only sees him as a forward I suppose. If I were mata, I would not want to hear those comments!absolutely. then what is mata actually? i thought he was, is and always will be a midfielder. if LVG is not happy then..
Homegrown =/= being a youth product.
I quite like the thought of Mata coming on against a tiring Leicester team though.Agree with this, Mata should be starting ahead of RVP.
I was thinking the same, it's just sensationalizing way of reporting.Erm... hasn't Rooney won as much as Cambiasso?
The time to question it is after the game.
If either of you get one pass it on!
Jesus H.
If you reread the posts carefully both Januzaj and Falcao were mentioned as the starting candidates. eg. post #572. But yeah, it was definitely only Januzaj alrite mate.
As for the "nobody is getting rested" part, you do know managers don't reveal all their secrets to the media ? For all his talk of transparency, Van Gaal is quite a notorious manipulator in the press. Ask old Barcelona fans.
But yeah just harp upon one part to prove a point.
Adios.
CheersJust watched the LVG interview. This is what he said and not sensationalist
I think he is trying to find rooney's best position. If he doesnt perform, He will be out. So will be van persie or falacao or anyone else. Its No sentimentality from him. RVP has less games than mata and rooney so he is being worked to full fitness. he sees falcao every day and prefers him. If mata performs better in number 10 then Rooney is out of the team no questions asked.
- Rooney and mata did not perform the way he expects them to perform
- He thinks falcao is better in striker position'
- He says, rooney says he is better as a 10 and he wants to try him there as he hasnt played rooney as a 10 yet
- He also says we have changed the system now. We will not see the 3-5-2 now i guess
- It will take time
I quite like the thought of Mata coming on against a tiring Leicester team though.
