I really hope we see the speed which everyone has moaned about Mata in team today since he got dropped.10/11 today, really thought Falcao would start in place of RVPI expected Falcao to come into the team, but I am disappointed to see Mata dropped. Really like RVP but it should have been him on form alone. Rooney isn't as good as Mata in that 10 role either.Sky's weird letter thing in that video made me think my TV was broken.Surely Mata cant not be sold, he'll be needed when we get back into the CL.Can't wait for the game to start, come on United!!!!When Souness said Di Maria's final ball is lacking, I understood then the depths of the deep and unremitting failure occurring all times within his brain.

Going from despairing at team news because Cleverley starts in CM and Young on the wing, to despairing because you can't fit Falcao, Rooney, Mata and Van Persie in the team is some changeLVG said before the game Rooney thinks his best position is behind strikers so does that mean there will be no more Mata ? I think Mata deserves to start instead of RVP.Opinions swing so fast.
Before the QPR game Mata was surplus to requirement , now he gets dropped one game and everyone goes crazy.
Nobody considers it may just be a tactical decision?Falcao should have been there instead of Van Persie based on current form but people shouldn't make a big deal out of Mata not starting the game. He's started every single game for us since Van Gaal took over has been named as one of our best passers by the manager. It clearly means that he's one of our more important players and today's decision is tactical.
I also fully expect Van Persie to lose his starting place in the coming weeks/months regardless of his relationship with Van Gaal.After the game Mata had last week, if RvP and Falcao have good games today and Rooney has a poor one, hopefully he will become droppable.Amazing how Van Persie keeps playing every game.Here we go!

A pm would be nice though.I was always in doubt of Mata's standing after LvG arrived, he is small build not defensively hardworking. This isn't the end for him though, but it will be interesting to see if he have a future here. Lots of reports both before and after the transfer window that LvG wasn't sure about Mata as his type of player.If Rooney doesn't perform as well as Mata in the #10 and Falcao and Van Persie as a striker he'll be dropped. Cmon United!Some forgot that LVG consider Herrera as #10, so dropping Mata whose defensive abilities aren't great is the easiest choice for him. I believe he hit the jackpot with this formation.
We all already know Mata is far superior as the no.10. But I guess we have to go through the motions so that LvG can see it too.I like that many of the players that were starting our first 2 games can no longer even make our bench. Loving that.- Status
