I think Amorim may have been slightly too confident with the central midfield set up. Ugarte was doing bits before the international break and I really don't understand why we've gone away, in swirling wind, thinking Eriksen is enough next to Casemiro.

Bruno has been mostly out of the game, which is something we have to change in the second half. We look toothless without him for the most part.

PS) Garnacho needs to up it. Big time. Hogging the ball on the counter put paid to a couple of breaks we need to have made more of.

It's been a pretty good advertisement for the "Bruno as one of the 2 CMs" crowd. We've broken their press well when he's dropped deep to drop a shoulder and turn a man.

It’s funny. Even during Mourinho days when we thought our attack lacked firepower we had Lukaku, Martial, Rashford, Mata and Mkhitaryan. Our bench options back then would all start for us now.

Can Garnacho play in an organised offense? He's very good in broken play but his decision making is really bad when he needs to pass.

Early days but most players don't seem comfortable in their positions. Cas and Eriksen don't have the legs to dominate the midfield, so he need to quickly makes changes here. Not worried about defense because we'll probably see Martinez, Shaw, and Yoro playing sooner rather than later. Not convinced with Rash up front or Bruno.

Get 3 in the middle.
If Ugarte is fit enough to come off the bench, it’s a no brainier to stop Ipswich just running unopposed through our through the midfield.

No use putting any blame on the back 3.
They’re not responsible for Ipswich having the freedom to lay siege to our penalty area.

It's not the players people. It's the tactics. I felt it was get 1 goal and let them keep attacking us and hit them on the counter.

Things will change second half. No need for Mount etc. Just let the players play but stick to 3 4 3. I expect to see a big change next half.

See a lot of Dalot criticism, which is half fair.

He's playing in an unnatural position and is the only player apart from Amad, who seems to be willing to actually play out from the back with his dribbling whilst being pressed or trying to find a passing option in the middle. Trouble is, our midfield is non existent and the options are just not there; it doesn't help that Evans is out of sorts, slow on the ball and sitting so deep. Dalot's being asked to create width but is not getting the ball from his CBs or midfield and is then expected to be the first one back to block any crosses or wide balls.

Maybe, if he was starting in the central position, I'm not sure he would be able to drop in and pick up space as easily. However, you're right, the one or two moments where it looked like we might get something in behind to a runner he's been involved.

I find it hard to see us winning if we don't find a way to get Bruno on the ball more. Maybe we need more legs in central midfield and to turn the front 3 into a 1-2 with a sole #10?
