I think the front 3 will look better when our midfielders stop shitting the bed. It's too much of a gung ho counter attack with far too much space between the lines currently, isolating them.

Also i'd like to see a video of the defenders when we lose possession. Who goes backwards first? This makes the game far too spread out as was the problem under EtH as well. That player needs to be off asap. I have a feeling it might be Evans, who you can't blame as he's not someone who should start for United at this stage of his career obviously.

I think we have quite a lot of players who are not at their ideal position or who are just second choice. It'll obviously get better but we're being outplayed by a glorified championship team.

We ripped West Ham apart in the 1st half and should have been 4-0 up at half time . West ham made 3 changes at half and we all know what happened then.
I think today’s 1st half performance needs exactly this .

Our more athletic players are mostly coming back from injury + Ugarte who returned late from international duty. Not shocking at all I'm sure Amorim recognizes this isn't his ideal lineup

That goes in Amorim's favour. He can then say "I've tried these players and they don't work with what we need to do going forward from here" and we can then begin to think about moving these players on. At least he can say he's tried them out and they're surplus to requirements.

Really poor first half from us but in fairness Ruben has only had about 2 training sessions with the players and its going to take time to get them out of the silly habits ETH got them in to and used to the setup Ruben wants them to play in.

He skinned Rashford in a foot race in the first half, so he's either not that slow or Rashford's pace is shot.

The front 3 needs to do more to make them self available for a pass when we have the ball at the back. Yes Casemiro and Eriksen are not the most mobile players but even with 2 mobile midfielders it's very easy for the opposition to just man mark them if they are our only passing options in the centre.
Put Höjlund up front with Amad and Mount as the 10s and I think we would instantly look much better in possesion and would be able to play it out from the back.
