Gives me more faith than any of the 2 alternatives we have
If you ignore the times he’s played there for us. Not the same Casemiro. He plays well as CB too. Did it several times at Madrid and Porto.
Ruben looks nervous
Based on what? I saw him chilling and I'm nervous as hellRuben looks nervous
I think if these positions are really like this as they are on paper, it's still a way of reconsidering what those positions mean. It's called wingbacks because 3-4-3s and such have basically been 5-2-3s (and such) with more attacking fullbacks than a 4-3-3 (and such...) would. But the more I check Amorim's setups, and thinking back of when Pep played 3-4-2-1 (or such?) with Grealish and Bernardo (usually) on the wingback positions. The defensive structure was different with Rodri and Stones at the CMF positions, so with Ake, Dias and Akanji (?) behind them, Stones could slot in to create extra defensive force at the back, while especially Ake could shift into a fullback if the game calls for it.Fair enough, I just think from physical profiles and Garnacho’s ability to bomb up and down the pitch as well as Amad’s ability to operate in those half spaces between the lines.
Glad I wasn't the only one who heard thatJohn O'Shea CB according to Jamie Rednkapp. Could be a long afternoon.
