    I can forsee some sort of flukey win, on the back of a horrible performance, that will yet again paper over the cracks and only the end result noted, thus giving ETH longer to write off this season

    Seen it over and over the last few years whenever we think an underperforming manager is about to be sacked
     
    Cas. Bruno and Eriksen as the midfield is just asking to be run through. I predict all three get booked.
     
    Got a weird vibe about this one, of course I never want us to lose but if we do win there’s a strange sense of foreboding for me because of villa coming up at the weekend which is going to be very tough and a win here just feels like the powers that be are just going to be kicking the can down the road with Ten Hag.

    We're not as press heavy as we were under Conceição.
    With this new manager we attacking better but we are defending worse as well.
    Our team is still in transition and many of the new players did just integrate the team or are in the process of integrating. I expect us to get better during the season.
    For this game we need to be careful as our defense is unstable atm.
     
    I would love a 0-1. Just get the win by hook or by crook.

    I can't believe we're still persisting with midfields like that. Some 18/19 year old from the academy who can actually run around the place offers us infinitely more than Statler and Waldorf in there.
     
    Ten Hag putting more pressure on himself with Bruno and Rashford starting. Hope it pays off but if it doesn't, he is putting himself in the firing line again.
     
    I can't see us winning this unless we get a fluke goal. That line-up doesn't inspire much confidence.

    Have Ineos got an issue with him playing those 2? They are all shit not just those 2 if you're trying to pinpoint them as the issue.

    No Ugarte is disappointing. We've long known that a midfield of Eriksen/Casemiro/Bruno doesn't usually work. I really feel like we need to be playing Ugarte into form.

    Considering how good he was in Portugal it would make sense to have him in tonight.
     
    The weakness off the ball in midfield wouldn’t matter if we could handle their press and keep the ball, which is why Mainoo and Eriksen worked at Palace.

    Unfortunately Casemiro and Bruno and keep the ball isn’t usually something you can use in the same sentence.

    I think even if we lose here we don't sack before Villa.
     
    No matter the line-up, I am never enthused, never confident of victory and never satisfied.
     
    Grim. A fluke result is always possible, but Porto couldn’t have asked for a better opponent to face right now. Realistically, that is.
     
    Basically unless we win both the next two games he should be sacked over the international break and honestly even if we win them both he should get sacked but there would be no chance that happens
