It's going to be a tight game and all that, but I think we'll win this one if we avoid the tactical mistakes that cost us the game against Arsenal. We should be more compact and avoid pressing too high up.
It's hard to predict who will start. I'd rather have Jones at CB because he would do better against Lukaku, with Blind at LB. If Rooney is playing we'd be at a bit of a disadvantage. Only by dropping him, with his current form, do we truly have 11 on the pitch. Herrera or Fellaini in the 10 position would be fine. Young on the left, and we're good to go.
On a side note, Martial is our best finisher. Even when we didn't win or he didn't score he's had good games and created chances for others. But as the number 9 and best finisher he should be a bit more selfish, attempt more shots on goal, and he should be getting better service than he's getting ATM.Most predictable game of any United season.

I meant compact as in playing as a unit and moving together, as opposed to the way we played at Arsenal with attack and midfield pushing up, and defense lying deep, to avoid that awkward no-mans-land between them.
A midfield with one of Schweinsteiger or Carrick and Schneiderlin, with Herrera or Fellaini as a 3rd midfielder or a number 10.
I don't expect a thriller either tbh, neither side should risk playing too openly. It wil probably come down to which side takes advantage of the few opportunities they get.

Indeed. I reckon we'll try and sign Mane in January, as it's as clear as day there aren't enough goals in the team or chances being created. Smalling had to come up with the winner vs Wolfsburg ffs. Depay just isn't ready to be a consistent threat and as we all know, Rooney hasn't been a threat for a very long time now. Is Herrera still out? I'd play Rooney there before I'd play Fellaini in central midfield and I think Rooney has been woeful.
