    So frustrating not to be leading at least 1-0 at half time. Couldn't have played much better in that half, I'm hoping to many wasted chances don't come back to bite 2nd half.
     
    Pretty good half.

    Palace had one chance near the end of the half, but it was otherwise a dominant half from United.

    I'd sub Ugarte for Mainoo,
    Casemiro for Eriksen,
    and Rashfod for Amad around the 60 minutes mark.
     
    I said many, many times (and i know i am boring with this) but; when Eriksen is playing, United is playing.
     
    I thought we are so sloppy and rushed, didn't move the ball half as well as we should have.
     
    Total domination really, although we got a little loose for 5 minutes or so at the end of the half.

    Need to do better with our chances though, this match should be out of sight but instead we'll likely have to weather a storm at the start of the second half.
     
    Decent overall. Pretty clear we're missing something in that forward line. Finishing has been poor.

    May as well chuck Rashers on for Zirkzee and see if that pushes us over the edge. Last 2-3 mins of first half shows us that Palace could get a goal even against the run of play
     
    That was by far the most coherent 45 mins of football that we have played under Ten Hag. Needed at least two goals out of that to kill the contest but didn't happen. But that was a very encouraging half of football from a style of play perspective. If we keep playing like that, we will win far more games. Need to be on red alert second half now because Palace will come out like a house on fire.
     
    I can’t imagine palace will be that bad again in the second, they’ll come out fired up. I’d get Ugarte on for Eriksen and strangle them right from the off. Then bring Rashford on for Zirkzee after the first ten minutes. Shame Mount is missing, him for Bruno would be a good swap for this game. Get Mount on for Bruno too.
     
    You can see the two good results have given the team an injection of confidence, now we just need to capitalise on our dominance and build on this.

    We look in complete control. Missed a few chances.
    Palace allowed to create chances the last couple of minutes. They remain a danger.
    Games there to be won, perhaps need to move up a gear i. The second half.
     
    Rashford for Amad with Garnacho moved over to the RW.

    Bruno’s had a bit of a stinker but he’s not gonna get subbed

    What do you all mean by style? That was similar build-up to the last few games. We just played better.

    Early on we were putting the fullbacks up high, and we've stopped doing that, instead inverting one of them. There haven't really been other major changes that I've noticed though.
     
    So many chances created, hit the crossbar twice… We must score goals in games like this
     
    I guarantee and have never been more confident of anything that palace will look a completely different side second half and we won’t win. At least our performances are improving. Better sign for the long term.
     
    Performances like this from Amad make it easier to understand why ETH plays Rashford more often than the Caf would like. He’s had good moments but has been caught out defensively 3 times now, caught ball watching.

    I do think our midfielders struggle in general to find strikers. Bruno/Eriksen/Mainoo/ anyone else all tend to look wide far more than in the middle.

    Because Crystal Palace has compacted their midfield.
     
    So good to see us control a game like that.

    Dalot was excellent on both ends. Two defence splitting passes, did a really smart job when inverting into midfield and a great (and really important) defensive header at end.
     
    Such a frustrating half. We all know what happens when you don't take chances in a football match, and it almost happened again at the end. Henderson saving his best for us was always gonna happen so we needed our attackers to be clinical. De Ligt, Garnacho, Bruno, Zirkzee-one of them should've scored by now.

    The last 2 minutes showed our defensive fragility. With Eriksen tiring we'll lose our attacking edge more and more. I wonder if it's worth putting in Rashford for Zirkzee immediately. Zirkzee hasn't been bad, but Rashford has a better understanding with Garnacho.

    One thing is for sure though, we have been vastly the superior side and it's good to see.
     
    We played well, some of the build up was a bit rushed and they still have that instinct to counter as fast as possible when we get the ball instead of recycling which might have caused a bit of unnecessary chaos but overall really good!
     
    Good to watch but nothing to show for it so far. Can palace be this bad in the second half, can we be this unlucky, surely Henderson won't win man of the match.

    These and other questions will be answered in the next 45 minutes...
     
    Get Rashy on for goodness sake. He's on a goal run. He'll score today if he gets enough time.
     
    Most of the time we would be one or two up playing like that. I hope it doesn't come back to haunt us. It's great we actually have a bit of firepower on the bench to change it up when people start tiring.

    I am loving Eriksen today, he's passing so well, but he is also fighting in that midfield, I would love for him to continue, not sure he'll last though
     
    Would be nice to stick the ball in the net once or twice... but we're actually controlling a game of football again.

    I didn't know we were allowed to do that.

    People saying he’s “had a mare” when he’s physically bossed Mitchell and combined well with everyone is hilarious. Was hardly a standout but also not poor
     
    Hopefully we don’t regret not taking our chances, not sure Palace can be any worse the second half, we’ve been playing well.

    Would like to see Mainoo in the game more, we have quite a few bench options today as well, Rashford/Hojlund/Mount/Ugarte.
