actually you are right, this is what I was advocating for ages, control of the game, an Eriksen can do his thing because he does not have to run around chasing shadows, and in some moments he can contest for duels because it is easier to deal with, I liked our players tightened the spaces and swarmed players and either nicked the ball or pushed them back.

The more patient build up, not just the set back it back to Casemiro, hoof it over the top, chase, football that has been so much of the problem in the last 2 years. Controlling the shape and tempo of the game instead of making it a chaotic basketball game, allowing this Eriksen-Mainoo midfield to be effective. A much more compact shape.

There are people in here hugely influenced by score lines. If we went in 2-0 no one would have said the negative things they said. The only negative thing to say about that half is finishing.
