Hmm. Am in London. Should I try and catch this live? Nah. This team is really not worth the pain.

Can we even field a team tonight? I guess there might be a few debutants getting their chance. Worst injury crisis I’ve known in over 50 years of supporting this club.

Maguire out Varane out willy out Lindelof out Malacia out Shaw out ..
J Evans doubtful.. so who playing CB? Bruno doubtful.. jeez not much to pick from.. 0 points

It is going to be tough to get a result today with the squad we‘ve got.

I agree that probably the best thing we can do is attack them.

Won’t this be something like the first game Bruno has missed for us through injury? Quite remarkably good injury record in a squad full of crocks.

First club game in his life. Only missed one international break with 'injury' before.

Bruno will be a massive miss. Hopefully Eriksen can step up creatively for an hour and then Mount can come on in the second half for him. Mainoo and Amrabat will have to be solid to give us any chance. I’d snap your hand of for a draw right now as I see some hammerings in the next two.

And people don’t think there is a problem with our training regimes.

The way to neutralise the disappointment is having a few social media reactors that you can watch in the event that United get beaten resoundingly.

I personally watch Flying Pig United, Casualfan and the screaming Korean dude for my post-match meltdowns. It's therapy for when we inevitably turn to shit.

Should puck as many fit midfielders as we can, we won't be needing forwards much today, so Garnacho and Hojlund can do that.

We've been having an injury crisis in the centre of defence almost every season since at least 06/07, when it likely cost us a CL title.

In the last 18 years, I think there's only been 3 seasons where we haven't had a period where we had to go way down the pecking order (often playing midfielders there). 15/16 with Smalling and Blind, then 19/20 and 20/21 with Maguire and Lindelof (and even then Lindelof played with a back injury for most of that second season). Every other season in those 18 years we've had problems in that position.

The difference is that in those previous seasons it's only lasted a month or so, whereas this time it's been all season long.
Why has it been so bad for so long?

Bruno out, McTominay not ready, Evans to be risked and Mount only has 30 mins in him.

We may struggle with set pieces tonight without Harry. Andersen may bully us for their corners.

Pretty sure we haven’t scored a single goal from a corner all season, Andersen couldn’t bully a paper bag when it comes to attacking set-pieces.

If you don't beat us tonight dissolve the club.

Bet the eleven you put out still cost double ours :)

Edit: I make our expected 11 ~£120m. Less than Antony and Mount haha.

And I bet the eleven Palace put out is doubly more balanced and closer to their first XI. And I bet their bench isn't mostly full of academy kids with next to no experience of senior football. :(

We’ve been there a lot this season to be fair, recently been playing Clyne and Lerma at CB ffs. Is nice to have most of the players back though, long time coming
