We played quite well but we lost, so it's not good enough. If I was Di Maria or Januzaj I'd be seriously worried about my future though. They offered nothing.

ok, sucks to lose but can happen with the injuries. McNair is so promising and Shaw played well. I think the midfield was a bit sloppy today (also because of the Chelsea tactics). Hazard put his POTY selection into stone today I think.

Yeah, I mean we all knew what Mourhino was going to do. He should of switched the system to counter it. When you do predictable vs preditcable Mourhino wins. Di Maria should of come on very early to add more penetration, Falcao wasn't good from the start. It was naive, I am a bigger defender of LvG than Pexbo but it was naive.

It wasn't a foul, it was Herrera being a prat, it's a stone wall dive and it amazes me how people think otherwise.

It pisses me off when players of our team do that. Cheating.

Mourinho is the worlds best at neutralizing opponents. Think of what they have done to the world's best teams. I still remember that game against Barcelona. They had to get super lucky to win it, and they were to me the world's most formidable team at that time. Credit to him. Silent domination really from Chelsea

Feck it, we'll win the league next season. And Chelsea is honestly as boring as Aston Villa. Far more class in Hazard than Agbonlahor though, plus a defense that will be too old very soon(They are f'ing class though)

Ah well. Reason why they are top of the league. However, I thought considering our injuries we are on the right track. Rooney have his shooting boot on we might have been different.

I'm happy with that. Going into the game I was worried we would lose the plot with the subs but held it together. Lacked cutting edge, but was always going to be the case with Falcao there and Rooney so deep.

Good performance, good show from McNair, looking forward to next season.

Lol at people here thinking putting your leg out to trip yourself against a defender is a penalty.

I counted 4 minutes extra time just from the last 20 minutes. Doesn't include Hazard rolling around in the 90th either. And the less said about the sub's the better.

Frustrating loss, but I though we played well on the whole. Thought Shaw was great considering all the bizzare critisism he's been getting recently.

I don't know how the media are going to spin that there's still any sort of a title race after this one though

Cant stand the way they beat us. All went to Mourinhos plan. Mourinho 1 - Van Gall - 0. Januzaj, Di Maria, Falcao, all shocking.

Jeez, the first two were hardly even on the pitch.

*edit* forgot that it was written by you, the hater of januzaj and the lover of nani. Forget i said anything, not worth my time.

He's quite selfish actually, partly why he's so good. Also why he's so frustrating, trying to take on entire teams.

I don't think that makes you a selfish player, especially when its done when other methods are not working. Beating players opens up play and he usually passes the ball as a result, rather than trying to score a Messi/Maradona type goal

Mourinho only plays a deep block in tough away games. He rarely ever does at home.

Not sure why people keep insisting he does this. Fans would be immediately on his back if we played negative at home.

You don't batter Arsenal 6-0, Spurs 4-0 or United 3-1 at home by parking the bus.
    Suuuuuuuuuuure.

Chelsea's goal...they're only chance ought to've been flagged for a free kick. They parked the bus all game. Can't believe folk wanted Mourinho.

Not a bad performance tbf. And we kept going to the end. Hope West Ham get a jammy draw against Citeh. Otherwise we'll only be one point ahead and then a nervy away game to Everton.
By the way, when's Carrick back?

They are the exact same blueprint Mourinho put in place before, will always be strong contenders, but never unbeatable.

And I know which team I would rather watch every week.

Not so bad. Just need to bounce back against Everton, then grab popcorn for the Super RAWK Meltdown when we win.

Yeah, I mean we all knew what Mourhino was going to do. He should of switched the system to counter it. When you do predictable vs preditcable Mourhino wins. You are more naive than him from what I see.

I don't care about Herrera trying to win the penalty, at least there was a contact. It's a clear dive but I Ve seen much worse... on the other hand this disgusting tactics from mourinho and dealing of the game, how happy can they be for this kind of win? The title was won in the first half of the season anyway. I think we did well, just neede little bit of luck and quality from the players who kept it too tidy today - Rooney, Mata, Young.. Impressed with McNair and Shaw, Herrera apart one failed crossfield pass was quite brilliant at the holding role, I wonder how many interceptions and balls won he had, must be some crazy double digit number, passing all good too, we missed him further up the pitch, we need a midfielder, that's for sure

Look at them feckers dancing there forgetting how they rolled around on the pitch for the last 20 minutes. Time to re-watch that extra time vs. PSG to bring a bit of balance to that.

Well that was pretty much my feared outcome. They'll defend all game and either score from a counter or a corner.

Now we have to win all the remaining games to be certain of a direct qualification spot for the CL. I just hope Carrick comes back soon. He is so vital for the balance of our team.

    And win the league.

Lets face it, if United were in the exact same position, we'd have been loving it.

Would never happen, at Old Trafford, parking the bus vs a rival when a win would win us the league, NEVER!

Finally we are back on earth after winning streak. Hopefully the lad can wake up and go for top 3
How is that back to earth, sounds like we were blitzed. We dominated the league leaders on their own park. We had the better chances in Rooney have two pretty decent chances, just didn't happen.

Though the ref did not in anyway influence the result by being biased, he could quite easily have had Zouma and Terry held up for tackling from behind.

All in all went as I expected after the injuries, if we had Carrick on with Rooney upfront I think we would have done slightly better.

A very Mourinho-esque win that, goal on the break, with only 40% of the match actually being football and subs moonwalking out of the pitch in injury time. Still, an effective strategy, Mou definitely knows what he's doing. It's someone else's job to use adjectives as "fair" or "sportsmanlike", it gets Chelsea results.

I don't think we played any less than we did the 3-4 matches prior, but it's a bit early in the van Gaal era to expect a win at Stamford Bridge against Mourinho's Chelsea.

Onwards to the next game, retaining 3rd will be hard, but very much possible if we keep playing like this.

If it meant we got a win that basically secured the league, against the team playing the best football in the league whilst we were out of form... Absolutely I would.
See that's different. What you are describing is an emergency measure to finish off a job. Thing is though this Chelsea side did this in pretty much every big game this season. Even in your scenario, why shouldn't we aspire to build a dominant team that plays with authority and personality? Why are fans expectations so low? With the money we make and status we have, there is absolutely no excuse to play like a small club.
