Injury time didn't even start until 91 minutes because Hazard was seeing off the last of his tears after a lovetap to his scalp, then they took two substitutions which took over a minute each and yet ref blows up just after 95 minutes?

Surely we should've seen 98+ minutes.

Frustrating but we were always going to be up against it with Rooney taking over Carricks role. Not a horrible performance by us but these tactics from Chelsea we all called so I'm surprised we weren't a bit better prepared to make it uncomfortable for them.

Good effort from the lads considering all the injuries. A lot of possession but you can't help but think that we've been taught a bit of a footballing lesson today. Almost felt like a CL match from yesteryear where we dominated but lost the game because teams counterattacked us.

The different today was that they had hazard upfront (who scored the goal) and terry/cahill/branislav at the back. We just didn't trouble them enough despite all our possession. You really need a top class striker to play the lone role if you want to score. It didn't help that Herrera had to play the holding role and Rooney was subpar in a midfield role as well.

Happy with our performance. Without injuries and with Rooney up top we definitely would've had a bigger chance at getting something from this game. Feel sorry for Falcao, but he just offers nothing at this point.

That's the thing though, you can commend Chelsea's negative play but even if you take that into consideration they still didn't deserve this. Their goal was a foul and their only other chance was a complete fluke rebound from Drogbas shot.

How many chances we created after they scored? Of course, they were in total control (like against Liverpool last season). You can have the ball for as much as you can, but it matters what you do with it. And Chelsea didn't allow us to do anything with it.
