i like a manager to show passion. cant slate him for shouting at the ref when our jose is criminal for it

You just don't foul Hazard immediately after the ref has committed himself to a course of action.

Dumb by Herrera irrespective of whether the ref was wrong

Michael Oliver has a face you want to punch repeatedly until it changes. The tactics were right in the first half, shame Oliver decided to send Herrera off for Hazards flimsy dive. Barely touched it.

Not too sure we'll get anything from this now though.
I still think we'll win on PK

What about his first was cynical? The fact that he dared taking up a position on the pitch that saint Hazard wanted to run into?
I think he knew what he was doing for the first one. Looked a body check to me.

How is the ref allowed to do that? Next foul on a specific player is a yellow card?

    Is he his boyfriend?

Influenced by a crowd? That's no excuse. This isn't his first rodeo as a ref. I am shocked by the low standards of refereeing both in England and Europe. How are these well-trained professionals susceptible to influence from the crowd? They need to do their job and be objective no matter what the fans say. Or do they expect fans to be objective?

He's stayed in a position to knowingly block Hazard, and then chopped him down straight after the ref has made a massive show of letting Jones off in a final warning with the captain overseeing sort of way.

To foul someone immediately after that was pure folly.

Never a second yellow but Herrera, man, why????

Really soft. The commentators going on about Oliver saying "the next player to bring him down gets a yellow", i wonder if that's really what happened? Seems ludicrous to me, you can't just give any player a yellow for any foul because a player is getting fouled a lot. It's like Herrera getting punished for fouls made by other players

I heard it too. Is this even valid refereeing? Never seen yellow cards given out for this when teams foul/mark Messi/Ronaldo. What bullshit is this? Doesn't make any sense.

So many fecking idiots on Twitter and the like saying this "he warned Smalling that the next foul would be a booking" bollocks. That's literally not a rule in football for feck sake.

Someone mentioned Fellaini was striped even before the red.
    I hope Mickhi isn't injured? :(

Expecting sense about us from Shearer is doomed from the start. It must be like going to a school reunion to find out the girl you turned down in high school is now a Playboy bunny every time he has to talk about United.
 You're on fire this evening, sir.

If that's what he said to Mike he should be punished by the FA.

Well chelsea get a refs favour at stamford bridge against us, that is nothing new.
We will lose this 2-0 in second half.

Thought we looked the much better team apart from that Hazard run.

It would only happen us, against all odds, written off by everyone, playing brilliantly and a red card against us.

Stinks of Nani's red vs Madrid.
What game were you watching? We dominated that half. Only sniff you guys had was Mkhitaryan's shot in the opening minutes.

Thought the Herrera first one was pretty much a stonewall Yellow, body checked and was aware what he was doing. He did 'nothing' knowing it impeded Hazard and was cynical, smart foul.
There's nothing wrong with doing 'nothing'. The defender is under no obligation to actively get out of the attackers way, which is what he would have had to do to avoid contact for the first one.

Don't see any rule saying he needs to get out of Hazards way

If any were yellow it was the 2nd one and that IMO would've been harsh! The first he just runs into him, what is he meant to do? Jump out of his way?

    Good one, who's 'they'?

He's done it for persistent fouling, Herrera has been bad for it in this game. Hazard is getting took out here and there, so I think the refs trying to get us to stop it to help the game flow. If it was one of our players, we'd want to see cards to get them to wind it in.

But in major games you want to see entertaining, flowing football and our players are preventing that with persistent fouling. We started brightly and the constant fouling was our downfall, we looked like getting a goal.
You give red cards in order to make games entertaining. Doesn't make sense.

its silly. oliver is telling smalling and jones the fouls have to stop. so 10 seconds later herrera fouls hazard right in front of him. brainless

This is why Lampard is regarded as a classy player and a legend of the game, while Hazard is regarded as a cnut. He is not fit to lace Lampard's boots. An absolute disgrace. A diving cheat and a precious little brat. It's absurd that there is an edict that says no one can foul him.
