Solskjaer's already made a big step in the right direction
One step in the right direction for Solskjaer is the exclusion of Antonio Valencia from the squad, even though he is fit.
Valencia is literally the worst permanent captain in the history of the club. Like Pogba, he undermined the previous manager and also disrespected the club by tweeting team news on the day of the game. His lack of communication does not help, either. At the risk of sounding like a Brexiteer, Valencia has a responsibility to speak on behalf of the squad and club from time to time and he refuses to do so. He will not be missed in Cardiff.
I agree that it is a welcome decision, but Luckhurst does seem to be rather sour about Mourinho's departure as well.
Though one of Jose's good decisions was keeping Valencia out of the team. Enough of the "good servant to the club" line that gets trotted out about him, he's merely hung on for too long.
