I'm behind LvG but even I'm beginning to doubt if he's the right manager, some of the things he does just leaves you head scratching, although Fergie had the same effect on me.
I would not be against subbing both. You'd rather have Fellaini on the pitch - when he has done almost nothing at all for the entire half - than Di María - who has at least tried to affect the game?
Wilson and Januzaj off, RVP and Herrera on
Rubbish football.
Yes, its an absolutely text book FA Cup tie. Happens to every team up and down the country every year.
It's a pity Mata isn't on the bench as I think those two coming on would be perfect. Unfortunately there's Fletcher.Herrera in for Fellaini in the start of 2nd half please...
Why don't you just sit down ?Why the feck do I even bother getting up to watch us play? I mean I will always get up but these games bore more so much.
I hate it how our CBs are forced to be playmakers of sort (Rojo did that well and Jones not so much) because there is no one making himself available for a pass when Carrick is marked. We are cut in two parts, the back 4 + Carrick and the rest of the team, there is no link whatsoever. It forces Jones to attempt stupid long balls or Rojo to advance and dribble.
I don't think we've been that bad.
Their pitch is shit and tiny. It's been difficult to find space. Cambridge have been difficult to break down and hungry for the ball.
We just need to quit conceding corners and set pieces and speed the game up a bit more.
They'll tire out eventually and hopefully we can get a few goals. I'd possibly bring Herrera on for Wilson around the 60 minute mark.
I actually wish that was true, we played some good stuff in pre-season, it gave some of hope that the tide was changing. He seems to be of the few it does matter to, his reaction when he scored in the last game showed that. The others are playing it like a pre-season friendly.
Yeah makes a lot of sense. And it means we can blame Moyes some moreIt looks exactly like fear to me, could be a long road back from last seasons debacle.
I'd personally sub Januzaj. He's playing like he's out for a kickabout with his mates. It's fecking unprofessional.

Yeovil was worse. Our passing has been decent we just can't find a gap.Basically a carbon copy of the game against Yeovil so far. Build-up is too slow, giving them too much time to get back and stifle everything. Then we are just stuck passing around the defence.
You wondered if Fergie was the right man for United?!I'm behind LvG but even I'm beginning to doubt if he's the right manager, some of the things he does just leaves you head scratching, although Fergie had the same effect on me.
I'd sub Carrick. He's doing nothing and looks very slow. Fellaini might be more useful, really.I'd get rid of Fellaini and put Blind in midfield and get Shaw on down the left, only issue there is that we'll loose a bit of physicality and height so don't think it will happen
If he isn't I seriously doubt his judgement.Exactly, just a hunch.
Not able to watch the match so trying to get a rough idea what's happening from here but all I can understand from the various comments is
Rojo's great, Rojo's crap
Blind's great , Blind's crap
Januzaj's great, Januzaj's crap
etc etc
We're playing crap, we're not playing bad
In other words, have no idea what's going on
Will he go back to a 3-5-2 I wonder...?
Fair enough, I'd prefer keeping Di María on since he can change the game so easily. Herrera on for Fellaini, swap Januzaj and Di María imo.I would not be against subbing both.
Very true, not that surprised really. What is interesting is people's short memories. I mean you'd never see a SAF United side lose to the likes of say, Southend.
