We all know that these injurytime goals and defeats under ETH cannot simply be explained away by bad luck. There is an inevitability about him losing the job, may not happen before Dec but it will thereafter.

I'm fine with taking Bruno off. Taking off Mount unless it's for injury ahead of Rashford and keeping Mainoo on for the whole game was naive.

Said it to my brother as soon as that Bruno sub was made, we would not win this game & unsurprisingly we never laid a glove on them in final 3rd when it did happen. Absolutely baffling decision by Ten Hag.

Defending for both goals were absolutely awful. Can’t defend against crosses into our box yet again.

Yeah I thought that too, unless he was aiming for Garnacho?

Should have just been rolled in front of Zirkzee to slide in for an easy goal. No idea how they cocked it up so badly.
It looked like that. But even the pass to Garnacho was way too overcooked forcing him to stretch on his week foot.

An absolute shambles of a simple fecking goal and someone here actually praised him for that. said he 'created' the goal. Bruno always gets away with murder in here.

ETH seems to be really managing minutes for fitness rather than need. Bruno coming off, Maguire getting subbed etc.

In almost every level of football center back is never subbed unless you have to. He seems to either trying to manage Maguires minutes or more likely building up De Ligts.

Bruno getting subbed is likely about his shorter pre-season. It feels like a big risk considering how lacking the replacement is.

Absolutely wild though that we legitimately don’t have anyone to bring in for Mainoo or Casemiro. Collyer would have been better for the final 20mins just from an energy perspective.
I am sure there is some mad rationale behind it but ten hags subs are reliably terrible and a large contributor to us struggling at the end of games

Already play better football than us with 5 new players and manager at helm for few weeks. Perhaps their manager is not shit??

You could see it happening after the Garnacho goal ruled out...
The changes they made right on the 90 .. didn't react. And 7 mins added I new they'd score ..

We had all the ball the better chances again and this happens. They celebrated because they new they should have lost not won...

Robbed is the word poor defending on both goal.. as well.. lessons learnt in this game again take your chances..

Very frustrating. Some positives, more negatives. Evident we have a lot of players getting used to playing together but there is something of a theme developing here under EtH

We gave away two goals with defensive mistakes, unlucky with two disallowed goals ourselves.

Ten Hag needs to sort out defensive issues: two players unmarked by back post is unacceptable.

Horrible to see mctominay actually on that back post for the first phase of that attack and he comes put before the cross comes in. If he stays with his initial position that goal doesn't happen

We had some good spells in the game, but any domination was short lived.
Brighton came under some pressure and we cut them open at the back a couple of times, but overall, I don’t think we really troubled them.

When you can’t score goals, game after game, you are struggling.
When you have a weak central midfield and no physical authority to grab hold of games, opponents are going run straight through and put your defensive under constant pressure.

As it stands, before the transfer window closes, we have no chance this season.

McTominay literally jogged past Pedro just before he scored, Sunday league stuff. Stay back and mark the striker or run off for no reason?

We lose too many 50/50 challenges, substitutions are as usual diabolical. Creativity suffers from poor formations, fear of losing dominates team selection.

We were quite easily the dominant side before they scored completely against the run of play. We, like last weekend, lack the cutting edge up front. They got numerous very soft free kicks and we did not. We were obviously unlucky with Garnacho's effort too. In the final quarter of the match we slipped back into last season's territory.

But this Brighton side is nothing special. And I'm saying that when they field a team that's had a full preseason to prepare while we have not. I do not expect them to do anything of note this season. And I'll be glad for it.
Passing the ball across your backline doesn't make you dominant.

Three of them at the back unmarked. fecking shambles.
Yeah that was quite the sight. How do you leave three open guys at the far post? I know it was a bit of a scramble and guys were tired, but still...

Why would you take off your CB in with 10 minutes left. He was playing well. What was the point?
He was not playing well, and if anything he caused the first goal. Also De Ligt needed minutes

Anyway, second goal was more on Zirkzee and McT who didn't bother to help with defense. Depending on a corner is not just on CBs

Passing the ball across your backline doesn't make you dominant.

I thought that was exclusively what made teams dominant. Which is why the United LVG side was the most dominant team in the history of the sport.

Of course not. We were crisp with our passing and quick with our movement, we savaged them plenty of times in their build up, we looked solid and we just needed one player capable of fecking scoring a goal to get some reward for our efforts.

Brighton are riding their luck, they look shite and still two for two

They've made their own luck by being ruthless when it mattered in both matches.

It's pretty impressive considering they're playing a different setup from the previous manager which often comes with growing pains. Their young manager is another one on the rise

ten Hag usually likes to stick with a winning team.
    Worked well today then.
Can’t understand why he took MaGuire off, can’t understand why he took Mount off and with Garnacho on the bench can’t understand why he stated with Rashford, that’s twice Rashford has started and twice he has rightly been subbed off, he shouldn’t be bloody starting in the first place.
We desperately need a proper number 9 and Toney would be ideal at a reasonable price because I think without a number we just don’t have anyone to hold the ball and create for oncoming players from midfield or indeed put the ball in the net himself.
Hopefully RVN will be talking about this and these needs to be addressed asap.

Its hard to be optimistic when you still see a lot of mistakes from last season's bad matches today....

He is clueless and the FA Cup win didn't change that.

Awful losing against this crap Brighton team.

Have to laugh though, no point getting worked up. Not worth it.
    Brighton are NOT CRAP.
However ETH game management again raised its ugly head and he managed to lose the game with stupid substitutions.

This is what happens when you let a single result dictate an entire new season.

Ten Hag should have been gone regardless of the Fa Cup result, the only decision from Ratcliffe and co that I haven’t been on board with.

McTominay literally jogged past Pedro just before he scored, Sunday league stuff. Stay back and mark the striker or run off for no reason?

No wonder why no one wants to spend good money on him

Wanted ETH gone no matter the FA cup result as the overall season was shocking. Very frustrating

We lost a lot when Mount went off.
He was the only one of the front 4 who could press, harass and show a bit of physical presence to reduce Brighton’s ability to initiate attacking moves from the back.
Once he’d gone off, Brighton were able to quickly move the ball from their half towards our penalty area, in just a few passes, constantly putting us on the back foot.

Antony with a blind back heel
Feck off - he should have let it trickle into the goal and would have been scored by Garnacho
go into your back garden, run on to the grass and slide. Have a friend twat a ball at you from 5 yards and whilst mid slide stop immediately and change your body shape

    Good luck

Please record it. Curious to learn how you can bend the laws of physics
