    Lingard gets all the stick here. What does mikhi do against top teams? I know he scored against Spurs but he is shite more often than lingard

    Well we are playing a dangerous gamble. Its all or nothing for the EL and Jose has rightfully made that call.

    We werent beating both spurs and arse with an EL match in between. We just dont have the squad to do it.

    Its inexplicable that we have so many home draws. That was the difference to being in the top 4 and where we are now. We have dominated most of the games at OT this year but our finishing has let us down.

    I hate to break it to you but football is all about collecting points. Your in denial about the shortcomings of Jose and the club.

    Well his best achievement this year is appealing to the fans, especially his hard core base. He knew exactly how to pander to them. He knew how frustrated last year we were and understood that some of our fans somehow applied the mental gymnastics required to associate having the ball with boring and bad football so he emphasized that point to appeal to them. He also understood that fans when out of ideas tend to blame defeats on lack of bottle/courage/passion or whatever as though all it takes to be successful is to want it. So again, he is repeatedly pointing to these factors on a regular basis. Looking at the free pass he is getting for finishing behind the likes of Liverpool and Spurs and even Chelsea, his tactics with the fans are definitely working.
     
    Jones and Smalling were really bad for the Wellbeck goal.

    Jose already said before the game that it's much easier to win 2 games in the Europa cup than win 4 games in the PL(which doesn't even guarantee top 4)

    Jose has prioritised Europa cup. Deal with it.
     
    If Rooney ended up staying another year it could be a similar situation to Arsenal and Wenger where his legacy is in tatters. He has to go this summer.

    They were bad. First match back after 2 months its expected. When havent they taken at least 2-3 matches before getting back to their best.

    Thats what is frustrating about them getting crocked all the time.
     
    I think what pisses me off the most is that Jose always believes he is right and he is so so calculating.

    He believes at 50 minutes that the game is gone and no way we can win, so he throws the game because in his head it's gone. Not willing to fight till the last minute.

    It's that mentality that saw him draw to David Moyes's Manchester United. Teams are frequently there for the taking but if he gets the idea that he can't win, he doesn't even try.

    I can't just "deal with it" when a manager is essentially throwing games away like this, it's not what I pay my money for.

    We beat chelski 2 weeks ago and celta 1-0 away from home in Europe. World was watching then too ;)

    You can't say we have been embarassing or pathetic today. Its a tough loss and a poor performance but far from the world ending.
     
    How has Rooney regressed to this? He's woeful. He literally does not look like a professional footballer at times.

    Is there really that much of a difference? Under LVG we struggled to score and won a lot games 1-0. Now we are struggling to win games and winning 1-0 or drawing 1-1. All Europa away games have been 1-0. Bar Chelsea we have looked woeful in the league since Christmas. Set up to defend in any big game which is boring to watch.

    We are about to finish 6th at this rate with a league cup and potentially the Europa League. If we don't win the Europa League it has to be worse than last season.
