Also hate Smalling and Jones lack of composure on the ball, its embarrassing for two players at one of the biggest clubs in the world to be so sh!te with the ball at their feet. Has Smalling ever succesfully passed forwards, all I ever see is sideways passes to other defenders or a back pass to the keeper.

Hopefully there is an improved second half performance, Mata and Mkhi need to push forward, they are really deep.

Busiest De Gea has been in ages. Wish we had a good attack but we look like a retirement home team. At least Martial looks up for it and Axel has had a good run out. Still looks like we will lose this as they're getting so many good opportunities through our porous midfield. Will be interesting to see if Jose makes any subs to try and win it.

I think you are being hard on him. He has three opposing players around him all the time because we are defending.

Martial's made a few good runs, but his hold up play part of his game is a struggle. The other problem is at times he becomes isolated. He's played okay, but not great.

Rooney needed to square it to Mata and we'd have been 1-0 up. So annoying.

De Gea is playing well though.

Martial too isolated when given the ball, someone needs to partner up with him to give us a chance at counter attacking. Rooney is too slow, and the 2 Ms are tied down by tracking back. Which brings me to the point...

Rooney has just been useless today. Too slow to help out Martial when attacking, not good enough at defending when out of possession. If Jose is interested in competing for a win here, I think either Lingard or Rashford needs to be brought on to pair with Martial up front. And Pogba needs to play as he is the one who can launch those penetrating passes, also we don't need a CAM if we're just playing counter attack, better just put an extra body in the centre. So take out either Mata/Mhki and Rooney at some point please.
