I highly doubt we are going to be in the mix for players of his value and reputation this summer. We should be looking at Mateta at Place, Mbuemo at Brentford, or even Kluivert at Bournemouth. We need players to transfer us to a top ten club first and foremost. Also, we're broke.
All those clubs would put an extortionate price tag on those players. Forget about buying from Prem teams. Brentford at one point wouldn't accept anything below £100m for Toney, Palace turned down £65m for Guehi and Bournemouth got £65m+ for Solanke.

Unless players are in the final year of their contract, or have a decent release clause, then don't even bother trying to sign the best players from Prem clubs, the prices are pathetic.
Agree. I'd rather invest in Sesko (or another goalscoring striker) than paying almost the same money (or more) in okayish EPL players (sure they'd update us, but for that price?)

He has a contract. The club can't simply terminate this. If he wants to stay, he'll stay.

It's weird this needs to be explained. You can't force a player to leave. Not playing them doesn't always mean anything either, see Winston Bogarde for example.
If he says he's staying then he's staying, what the club wants is irrelevant.
Yes, but the club can fulfill its contractual requirements whilst making his stay as uncomfortable as possible to pressure him to leave - basically a game of chicken. For instance, removing his first-team privileges.

If a player is happy to see out their contract on the bench/out of the team then there's very little you can do. Other than pay it out.
Talk of advocating to pressure and bully people into leaving is disgraceful.
If we navigate our way out of this then we need to do it correctly. I'd rather spend a bit longer in the mud than be morally bankrupt. These are people we are taking about here.

Love this kid, been aware of his talent from the age of 2 1/2, he’s like a Rio, Bruce, maldini hybrid, seen him once for 32 seconds on YouTube but had to turn it off due to the shit music…he wasn’t playing the music, it was just on in the background but if he did play music he’s very much in the mold of Beethoven but when he joins us he’ll turn into Milli Vanilli.

Tobias Palacio Ramirez is the young Argentine CB I know a bit more about. Juan Gimenez is slightly taller... I know Palacio is good at playing out from the back, Gimenez from youtube clips looks like he likes to dive into slide tackles and can play some good long passes and he looks good as well. Hopefully he proves the right one to go for if we are looking to sign him but as I say, I know a bit more about Palacio and would sign him.

This sophomoric level of "analysis" always fails to take into consideration the fact that if we hang onto Antony next season, we're on the hook for a year of amortization and wages. Net those out and the PSR breakeven amount for next year's accounts is significantly lower.
