Branthwaite I doubt would happen given his cost.. we'll get 1 starter and then a depth guy. De Ligt is that starter I'd guess.

Neves isn't happening this summer either, we don't have funds for 100m on him on top of everything else.

De Ligt, kerkez, zirkzee, Ugarte are all probably under 40m (kerkez the highest, but lower wages while de Ligt would have high wages). The 2nd midfielder and 2nd CB will both likely be cheaper signings or loans.

Gotta look at it in the lens of the team will be built around garnacho and Mainoo, while amad and Hojlund can develop more and have bigger roles. It's not gonna challenge for the title now, but it's building towards eventually doing that as those players have huge potential. We have tons of holes in the squad that need to be addressed just to be at solid ground, and that's what this is doing. Next summer we can build more for upgrading the attack or other positions, but for now we have to have a good squad and have a group that suits each other and what the manager wants from how we'll play. We need to raise the physical level of the squad and reduce the average age. This would do that and give us a very good chance at having a good season.

Don't see Toney as apparently we are only looking at players under 25 according to Ratcliffe
 
If Zirkzee deal falls through or he decides to join Milan, given our limited transfer budget a player we should look at is Haller. We definitely need a new striker to provide cover/competition for Hojlund, Haller has been replaced by Fullkrug in Dortmund’s first team and could probably be grabbed for cheap or loaned. Could even try to send Sancho the other way as makeweight in sort of a ‘swap loan’ deal.

Don’t think we can or should sign him outright given his age but as a stop gap signing for a season he could be good.
 
Wouldnt mind snapping up Amrabat for midfield depth, and another CB on the cheap for cover. Otherwise De Ligt, Kerkez, Ugarte and Zirkzee is a decent window.
 
Really feels like slim pickings this window.
Most players heavily linked now couldn't cut it at big clubs for some reason.
De Ligt seems to be on the injury prone side, and if we get him, will have played for Ajax, Juventus, Bayern and United while still being only 25.
Zirkzee was let go by Bayern, and comes off a first single decent(?) season, where he's scored 12 goals total. Weren't we after experienced striker? We'll be looking next summer for someone to cover for both Hojlund and Zirkzee.
Ugarte I've not seen much off, but didn't cut it at PSG. Can't be worse than Amrabat hopefully.
Bournemouth lad I only first heard off this summer after being linked to him, not sure how he's 45 mil player.

I hope we don't get Branthwaite if the figures being quoted are correct.

I'm not bothered about star quality because let's face it our recent star names haven't pulled up any trees
 
I heard the guys will be back soon at Carrington and the first game against Rosenborg will be the 15h July, so we are 2 weeks away our first game so hopefully we'll have some signings at the moment.

For what I want for this summer, I won't be really innovative, but we need serious reinforcement in order to reduce the gap with the top 6.

According to below plan, we would have a net spent of around 200M and 125M (depending on Sancho and Greenwood sell and no loans).

We would also reduce massively the wage bill, and we have young talents in this team (De Ligt 25, Mainoo 19, Neves 20, Olise 23, Doué 19, Hojlund 21, Garnacho 20)

I am still not decided on who the striker should be to compete with Hojlund. According to me he should be older and have another profile (you'll see that Ten Hag will push to get Sebastien Haller :D )

Considering we are playing Europa league. If we got another Centre back with potential in and maybe a left back . Thats a decent window all things considering.

can't get a CB unless somehow we can move either Lindelof or Maguire

those three would be a solid start.....then if we can move sancho or greenwood then you go get another wing player and bring amrabat back on loan if you can other you'll have to look hard at Neves

Think we can move Lindelof. Maguire is a tough one to move on. He already turned West Ham down last summer which still annoys me as we could of got Todibo with that money. I don’t think we get a winger until next summer. Antony is going nowhere. We put some bang average players on crazy money. Hoping the kid Bardghji recovers from his injury and we sign him next year. Neves is going to go PSG i think. Thats why we getting ugarte as they need to shift players on. Would love to get Fabien Ruiz aswel. But he has been a key under Enrique so no chance

sorry but you have to bring in someone to freshen up that attacking four...they didn't generate enough goals last year so a change has to be made

Garnacho is obviously a starter ahead of Antony, the guy played almost every game for us last season and was our best attacker after Bruno.
Also Amad is ahead of Antony now in the pecking order too IMO. Also Shaw is obviously ahead of whoever we sign at left back, while fit. The idea is to rotate him and keep him fresh for the games we need him and then gradually phase him out (and not have last season repeated).

I also feel like Amrabat will be kept on as a squad player. He improved by the end of the season, takes a year sometimes for players to get used to the league, but also we need that type of player who can rotate for Mainoo or play alongside him if needed there, while being a squad player. So it makes sense. Our starting and 2nd 11 probably will look something like this, with the biggest unknown being the left back situation and who we sign as a 2nd center back as I think we'll sell one of Lindelof or Maguire.

I will be impressed if we get all three over the line. Ugarte and DeLigt are both very strong characters, which is good for the club on and off the pitch.

I don't know much about Zirkzee in terms of his mentality and will to win.

I presume after these three anyone else will depend on players going out.

Also would be happy with Amrabat on loan again

Seems like Ugarte and DeLigt have a lot of traction and no one else really linked with either currently. Zirkzee is linked with Milan but he has a release clause so it'll come down to the player

Read that Ashworth wants to bring Amrabat back on loan

Biggest issue is moving Sancho and Greenwood so we could bring in a top quality young winger(Doue, Nico type of player) to add some freshness to our wing play as it was poor last year

the ideal player IMO would be Frimpong for our RW

I am CERTAIN that the urgent appointment of Christopher Vivell will enhance our game-plan dramatically. He is brought-in because he has line of sight to a lot of unknown talent we can tap into. I will be shocked if we do not sign a bunch of names we haven't heard of in the "future Mbappes" (Sir Jim quote, not literally) strategy.

And I am all for it. We can certainly use several great deals of yet-unknown gem signing

Need goal scorer/match winner upfront. We scored the same goals as Crystal Palace, surely we can't be ignoring our Forward line.

Casemiro has struggled with injuries and form.

Fernandez, and Eriksen are better as a number 10.

We totally need a LB. I am concerned about the lack of news on this front.
 
I like the profile of Ferdi Kadioglu. Has impressed at the Euros so far. Would cost around 25-30m and can play LB and RB which would allow us to sell AWB while giving Shaw competition.
