Because they are one of the few countries in the world responsible directly for 2 genocide and complicit in a third. They have to back colonialism by enforcing it into laws.
What's the 2nd you're referring to? Assuming you mean holocaust is the first.

Basically Hamas needs to survive for recognisable Palestinian life in Gaza to continue to exist.

I wonder if these people actually think Palestinians only hate them because their evil schools told them to or if they're playing it up for the West.

Why are they still going with the "high risk of famine" angle? What more needs to happen to officially declare a famine?

A UN-backed assessment says almost half a million Palestinians across Gaza are still facing “catastrophic levels” of hunger and that a “high risk” of famine persists as long as the Israel-Hamas war continues and humanitarian access is restricted.

I genuinely can't follow this in the same way as I was at the beginning anymore. It honestly makes me sick to my stomach. The world is already moving on to some degree. Pathetic.

It's really absurd they admit what is going wrong but will use mental gymnastics to justify support. The quality of politicians is truly in the gutter at the moment.

Same. Took a real toll on me. Last straw for me was seeing a tweet with a father holding his son and half of the skull was missing. Nowadays I avoid those tweets. I'm watching alot of Zeteo content. Mehdi Hasan has done a good job with the channel and it's very informative. I always liked him, specially when grilling Trump cronies. His segments with Bassem Youseff are very good.

Morris apparently signed a letter published by a collection of Israeli academics denouncing Israeli apartheid back in August. Weird guy.

His career trajectory has been really strange, really gone full circle.

better days ahead for bibi - his best polling in months, and 1 seat away from majority

feck sake. Benny Gantz literally needed to just not do anything and then win the next election. But somehow, he decided to join Bibi's coalition, without having any responsibility, in turn tanking his reputation.

Edit: IN REALITY THE SECOND EXCERPT OF THIS TRANSLATION HAS BEEN HEAVILY MODIFIED TO CORRUPT BEN GVIR'S INTENDED MEANING. I apologise. I got duped because I think Ben Gvir is an odious, odious man and because I trusted an Intercept journalist would be above such crude manipulations.

It is a fact that Ben Gvir says "everything published about the vile condition of these murderers in prison was true", but here "vile conditions" is being equated with the supposed luxury and power Palestinian prisoners enjoyed prior to his tenure and not, as the journalist implies, their torture and rape.

Everything else seems a fair summary of Ben Gvir's position (intentional overcrowding, proposed executions etc).

Bolded is what the Intercept journalist left out said:
Since I assumed the position of Minister of National Security, one of the highest goals I have set for myself is to worsen the conditions of the terrorists in the prisons, and reduce their rights to the minimum required by law. This is what I committed to my constituents and to the people of Israel back in the elections, when I announced that I would demand the position.

Everything that was published about the vile conditions of these murderers was true. They ruled the prisons without question, and in the last year, before the war broke out, I waged a war of attrition. The long-awaited reform on their terms, and to realize the mandate I received from the public.
